The stableman didn't quite understand, either.
He more or less figured it meant the product was both expensive and good, so he paid without another word.
He was visiting his sick cousin, after all. He couldn't afford to look cheap.
"Oh, right. My nephew has been saying he wants a… what was it again? Oh, I remember! A telescope. Get me a telescope."
"What price range are you looking for?"
"Price range?"
Soon, a row of telescopes was laid out on the counter.
The stableman never imagined there could be such a huge difference. They ranged from as low as Three Copper Coins to as high as Sixty Silver Coins.
A price difference of two thousand times.
"That one for Sixty Silver Coins… is it made of gold or something? What makes it so expensive?"
"Oh, that's because this model is made by an Elf. It's drop-proof, anti-shake, and waterproof…"
The clerk launched into a pitch, making it sound as if they were taking a loss at that price, and didn't forget to add one last thing.
