The phone rang for almost ten seconds before Su Zhuyun answered.
Su Chen frowned at the cacophony coming from the other end of the line. "Dad, where are you and Mom? Why's it so noisy?"
"Your mom and I are on a boat to Sanya's West Island. What's up, Xiaochen?" Su Zhuyun's weary voice came through the phone. It sounded like the last few days of sightseeing in Hainan had worn him out.
Su Chen and Su Zhuyun had similar personalities—they both preferred peace and quiet over constant activity. Chen Shufen, however, was a whirlwind of energy. 'I can only imagine how many miles Dad has been forced to walk,' Su Chen thought.
"Oh, it's nothing major. I'm in Sanya now, too. Just wanted to see if you guys were still in Hainan."
Hearing that Su Chen was in Sanya, Su Zhuyun's voice immediately jumped a few octaves. "You're in Sanya, too? Want to come find your mom and me on West Island?"
