Outside the small, dark room, the dense white fog still lingered, but there was no sign of any Adventurers.
When Yano returned, laden with his haul, the little Slime lying in the corner had just finished digesting the last identity tag.

The Slime's body wobbled with a soft SQUISHING sound. Then, with a nimble leap, it landed steadily in Yano's outstretched palm.
"What's the situation outside?"
Yano scratched his already messy hair.
"All those Adventurers heard there's some perverted thief in the Fog Zone who only preys on men. Now none of them dare to come in."
"But I overheard them saying that the Rusted Key is having a big reaction. They've already sent people this way, but it seems they have no intention of negotiating a ransom."
Chen Yu bounced in Yano's palm, inwardly amused.
"Even the head of 'Miracle' Yano isn't worth as much as the ransom. Why would they bother paying?"
