Only after the Mercenaries had calmed down did his gaze travel across the open ground and land on the conspicuous Slime on the battlements.
Oily green, round and jiggly, with a pair of big, round eyes... it had all the typical features of a Slime.
Though it was just a Low-tier Demon, he could see curiosity and intelligence in this Slime's eyes. And next to the Slime stood several Elves, with their upright postures and long, pointed ears.
'Elves? The goblin intel never mentioned them.'
Calvin's frown deepened, a strong sense of unease rising within him.
'Could it be that the Undead Knight the goblins mentioned was a lie, and these Elves are the real backers?'
