"Alright." Casimir nodded slightly, raising his pale palm. Crimson blood seeped from his fingertips, quickly forming into a palm-sized blood bat in the air.
The blood bat flapped its wings and flew above the city wall, letting out a soul-piercing shriek.
"AH!!!"
The extremely piercing sound wave echoed over the empty, deathly silent wasteland, instantly spreading along the entire length of the city wall.
"Enemy attack!"
"They're here! Get ready to fight!"
"Quickly, Mages to your positions! Crossbowmen, draw your strings!"
The entire Greystone Rampart instantly burst into a flurry of activity. The Mercenaries, who had seemed somewhat lazy just a moment ago, now held torches and scurried between the city wall and the bunkers.
Inside the bunkers, dozens of mercenary Mages in robes of various colors were already standing on preset Magic Nodes. They raised their Magic Staffs high and chanted obscure, ancient incantations in unison.
"BZZZZ!!!"
