Chen Yu bounced around and turned, asking curiously, "Where... where did this meat come from?"
"Picked it up from a tree," Peggy answered simply, drooling and grunting.
Chen Yu tried activating "Abyssal Maw" again, sucking in all the frozen snake meat in one go.
His panel changed. His maximum health increased by thirty points.
'I didn't expect this snake meat to be so nutritious.'
To be honest, though, things that were directly Devoured and Digested by the black hole were completely tasteless, like drinking plain water.
'If I could just pan-fry this snake meat on a stone slab until it sizzled, and sprinkle on some salt and spices... it would probably smell amazing, right?'
Just imagining it nearly made Chen Yu start drooling.
'Still, I should focus on what's important.'
He hopped over to the fallen Fluorescent Tree. He could see that the tree was still emitting a soft, ethereal glow, but much of its life force had already drained away.
