"Submissions describing Demons? Aren't you collecting folklore?"
Lloyd asked, a bit puzzled.
"Well, it's like this..."
Evelor started to explain, then disappeared into her room. She returned, hugging the Hammerhead Shark Puppet, and pulled Lloyd down to sit on the sofa before telling him all about her recent work.
Basically, her employer, the kind Miss Desda, had very broad requirements for 'folklore.' So broad that as long as it was a complete story that was even slightly related to a legend, it was acceptable, regardless of its length, writing style, or specific content.
Of course, it had to be complete. A story that was only half-finished wouldn't do!
This caused Evelor's workload to double, and she was always receiving some strange submissions.
For example, that submission from before, "The Erotic Secret History of the Veto Saint," had left a very deep impression on Lloyd. A critical one, of course. Don't get the wrong idea...
