The black dagger immediately spewed out a great cloud of red mist—a neurotoxin. Anyone who inhaled it would be completely paralyzed, left at their enemy's mercy.
However, the very instant the mist erupted, a mass of black shadow completely enveloped it.
The dagger's wielder was stunned. 'The timing is perfect! It's as if Shadow knew about my dagger's secret ability!'
