Gusts of Frost Breath slammed against the cave walls, coating them in a thick layer of ice that showed no signs of melting.
Around the sub-dragon, the Corpse Insects relentlessly attacked its Ice Shield, doing their small part to deplete its energy reserves.
A few minutes later, the sub-dragon's breath attacks grew less frequent. The continuous blasts were extremely draining, and it had to conserve some energy, using the lulls to clear out the surrounding Corpse Insects.
The Insect Mother's flight was no longer as fast or graceful as it had been. It now only flew at top speed to dodge when the sub-dragon unleashed its breath attack.
After dodging another breath attack, the Insect Mother landed on a protrusion on the cave wall to rest briefly. Based on the sub-dragon's attack pattern, the next blast wouldn't come for at least thirty seconds, which was enough time for it to recover some stamina.
