A moment later, Aunt Mei entered Ruyi Court with a face full of doubt. She sat on a stool somewhat restlessly. After a moment of thought, she asked Lin Zhi, "Are you feeling better, Heir's wife? You must not overwork yourself these next couple of days. It is best to stay in bed and recuperate."
After speaking, she felt a bit awkward. With her status, instructing the Heir's wife on such matters was truly overstepping. Her confidence wilted even further.
Lin Zhi gestured for the maid to bring the items over. "You are quite right, Aunt Mei. I am taking care of myself. I asked you here because I noticed the servants had been negligent; they delivered less than you and Chu Ji's rightful allowance. This is to make up the difference for you."
Aunt Mei was stunned and instinctively looked over. A dozen or so Silver Ingots, along with some broken silver, were arranged neatly on a tray.
