The moment he spoke, the area fell silent.
Amelia Lockhart rubbed her nose and muttered, "I was just looking for Vincent Vance. I don't know where he ran off to…"
She hadn't expected Ethan Quinn to be the first one to reach her, not Vincent Vance. After all, Vincent was the one who had been in the same passageway.
In the darkness, Ethan Quinn's lips tightened. He knew she was looking for Vincent Vance, of course. Her repeated calls of Vincent's name grated on him.

Amelia Lockhart's eyes were starting to adjust to the darkness. She could just barely make out the outlines of things around her.
For instance, she could see Ethan Quinn standing nearby, but his partner, Ruby Sawyer, was nowhere in sight.
