The scene was instantly thrown into chaos.

Amelia Lockhart didn't even have time to process what was happening. She heard a loud CRACK, and before she could look up, she was tackled to the ground.
She found herself in a cool embrace as a tremendous crash echoed by her ear, like something had been smashed to pieces on the ground.
Amelia Lockhart tried to see what was happening, but she was held so tightly that she could barely move, her vision completely obscured.
With her vision blocked, Amelia Lockhart felt her other senses grow sharper.
She could smell a familiar, crisp scent of cedarwood, one that seemed to calm the soul. She could also feel the rhythm of the breathing of the person holding her.
It was a little ragged and tense.
She could also clearly hear the clamor of panicked voices all around them.
