"What did you wish for just now?" Amelia Lockhart asked as she ate her cake.
She had seen how serious and sincere he was when he made his wish. 'If it's a simple request, I can help him fulfill it,' she thought.
'It would be my final act of kindness.'
Ethan Quinn reached out and gently wiped the cream from the corner of her mouth. "I wished that we could be together for the rest of our lives. And if there's an afterlife, that we'd be together for all of eternity."
Amelia Lockhart froze. She wasn't sure if it was because his touch was so gentle, but she felt her heart skip a beat.
"Even The Matchmaker God's Three Lives Stone can only guarantee three lifetimes together. Asking for an eternity is a bit demanding, don't you think?" Amelia Lockhart said, clearing her throat.
'The Matchmaker God is probably in his hall right now, stamping his feet in frustration. Why does he always get these impossible wishes that make his life difficult?'
