As Willow Finch reached this point in her story, the sorrow in her eyes was plain to see.
"What happened next?" asked Amelia Finch, who was resting her head on the table, listening intently.
"After that, the Divine Lord who lived in the Violet Bamboo Grove said that he felt a connection with the Little Phoenix. He also happened to be quite interested in this Ancient Divine Beast, so he asked if she could stay for a few more days.
With the Divine Lord having spoken, things naturally fell into place. The little fairy didn't want to leave, and her older sister didn't force her. But she was worried, so she went to the Violet Bamboo Grove every day to check on the Little Phoenix.
For several days in a row, her older sister saw the same scene: a small, crimson Phoenix dozing off beside the Divine Lord, while he either sat reading under the bamboo trees or practiced his swordplay within the grove.
