Before Ronan Fordham could answer, Julian Winslow's voice rang out.
"Faye, take Mrs. Winslow back to Winslow Garden. Until I return, she is not allowed to take a single step outside."
Hearing Julian's order, Shalma Hughes snapped, "Mr. Winslow, are you trying to put me under house arrest?! You still haven't answered me. Why can't I go to Portmire?"
Faye heard the exchange clearly, her heart tightening. She wondered why Mrs. Winslow had mentioned being forbidden from going to Portmire. Could it be because of that incident? A memory surfaced in her mind. She recalled that day at the hotel when a woman had shown up carrying a stack of documents, claiming she was delivering them for Stellario. Shortly after walking through the door, the woman had collapsed, unconscious. Mr. Winslow had rushed forward, scooped her into his arms, and carried her into the suite's bedroom.
