After a long moment, her emotions finally calmed down.
Annelise Valentine's voice was still hoarse. "It was the Quinn Family's setup, wasn't it?"

She said, frustrated, "Julian and Ezra Quinn again! I never should have stopped Zane from beating them up at The Empyrean Palace! I'm a fucking genius. I stopped him from laying into them, and what happens? They turn around and rip the Patterson Family out by the roots..."
'She should have let Zane beat them to death right then and there!'
She took a deep breath. Something was burning in her chest.
It wasn't sadness. It was fire. The kind of fire that made her want to storm the Quinn estate right now, drag those two idiots out, and slap them silly.
