Hudson Company's headquarters was located on the seventh floor of a modern, glass-walled building. For a newly established company, it was quite impressive.
The office was filled with brand-new desks and chairs. On the wall hung the Hudson Company logo—a simple, dark blue font that Zane Patterson had personally chosen.
On the day of the ribbon-cutting, the four of them stood at the company's entrance, holding a red silk ribbon, and posed for a group photo.
"Three, two, one..." Four pairs of scissors came down simultaneously, and the red ribbon snapped in two.
Even though the company only had the four of them for now, they didn't skimp on the sense of ceremony.
After the ribbon-cutting, Annelise Valentine said playfully, "Let's go celebrate. Mr. Patterson is treating."
Zane Patterson replied, "No problem. What do you want to eat?"
