The owner merely cast a curious glance at Silas Thornton. He didn't say anything about him interrupting Holly Wyatt's work. He called his wife out to help, then went to the back to wash his hands and took his place at the cutting board, resuming his work on the steamed buns. His hands moved nonstop, but his eyes kept darting toward Silas.
When Leo Kensington saw Holly Wyatt come out, he made a slight move but forcefully stopped himself from going forward.
He clenched his fists and gritted his teeth, staring at Holly Wyatt.
Holly Wyatt didn't notice him at all. She just stood obediently in front of Silas Thornton.
Silas Thornton lowered his gaze slightly, staring at the white flour on the side of Holly Wyatt's face. His expression darkened.
He took a wet wipe from his pocket and held it out to Holly Wyatt. "Wipe it off."
Holly Wyatt took it apprehensively and gave her face a cursory wipe.
Her thick bangs were a mess, so Silas Thornton raised a hand to fix them for her.
