A crystal chandelier cast a soft glow, illuminating the underground space, which was as large as two assembly halls.
Velin spread the stack of parchments across the center of a long table. Valerius, Sarah, and Elvin sat around it.
"Phineas's thesis," Velin said, getting straight to the point. "A theory the academy deemed useless, but I believe it can change everything."
Valerius picked up the first page, his glasses nearly sliding off his nose.
"Targeted nourishment with Original Blood Crystals? This madman actually wanted to use Original Blood Crystals to cultivate Magical Beasts?" The old Alchemist's voice trembled slightly. "Velin, do you know what this means?"
"For others, it would mean an astronomical consumption of Golden Suns." Velin pointed to the ground beneath them. "For us, it's just the cost of mining."
