Olivia Wynne finished cooking and brought the food to the living room. She set out the plates and cutlery, then turned and walked toward the study.
She knocked lightly on the door, and it opened from within.
William Wynne's deep eyes were downcast. He looked at Olivia Wynne and asked in a low voice, "Have you decided?"
Olivia Wynne took a deep breath, lifting her gaze to meet William Wynne's soul-piercing eyes. She answered with conviction, "I've decided. I'm not getting an abortion."
His hawkish gaze fixed on Olivia Wynne for a moment before William Wynne lifted his head and strode toward the living room without a word.
Olivia Wynne immediately followed. When she saw William Wynne sit down at the dining table, she handed him a set of cutlery.
"Time to eat, Uncle William."
"Mm." He glanced at Olivia Wynne, took the cutlery, and began to eat in silence.
After lunch, Olivia Wynne went to wash the dishes while William Wynne made a phone call in the living room.
Olivia Wynne didn't know who he was calling. By the time she came out, he had already ended the call. He looked at her, his voice flat. "From now on, don't go out unless you're filming."
"Okay."
Hearing her reply, William Wynne hummed in acknowledgment, then grabbed his car keys and left.
The moment William Wynne was gone, Olivia Wynne instantly relaxed.
'Her uncle really lives up to his title as a high-ranking official. The pressure of being around him is immense. What's more, the original Olivia spent a lot of time with him—she practically grew up under his watch. I'm always terrified he'll realize I'm not the real her.'
With William Wynne out of the house, Olivia Wynne felt much more relaxed. She locked her bedroom door from the inside, then took the novel *Phoenix* and entered her space.
'I have to film soon, so I need to understand the script better. There's more time in the space, which is perfect for studying it.'
Olivia Wynne entered the space, and her eyes widened in disbelief.
The space had changed. It had once been nothing but barren land, completely devoid of life. Now, a dozen or so apple and peach trees had sprouted.
The apple and peach trees were covered in blossoms. She took a gentle sniff, and a refreshing floral fragrance washed over her.
Olivia Wynne stared at the fruit trees, her expression a mixture of confusion and contemplation.
'This space was with me for eighteen years during the apocalypse, and I was the only living creature to ever set foot in it. Now, though, there's life here. Could it be that arriving in this peaceful era caused the space to change?'
Musing on this, Olivia Wynne lost her desire to read the novel. Instead, she began to walk, following the line of fruit trees.
'Is there anything else here besides the fruit trees?' she wondered.
Meanwhile, after leaving the house, William Wynne called a good friend of his to arrange a meeting.
In an understatedly luxurious private room, Shawn Warren sat with one leg crossed over the other. He picked up a glass of water from the table and swirled it gently, as if he were holding a 1986 Lafite.
"So, man, what's so important you had to call me over at a time like this?"
Glancing at Shawn Warren's flamboyant air, William Wynne said expressionlessly, "I need you to find out who Olivia has been in contact with recently."
Shawn Warren set down his glass and leaned forward.
"William Wynne, don't tell me you came all the way back from your post just for your little princess?"
His sharp gaze fell on Shawn Warren. "I want the results by eight tonight," William Wynne said flatly.
Shawn Warren pouted and sat up straight. "Alright, alright, I get it. But are you really not going to do anything about what's happening online? It's pretty clear to me that Olivia must have offended someone. Somebody's stirring up trouble and directing the narrative against her."
"As for what's happening online, Olivia will handle it herself."
