Preston Keaton smiled, poured out the tea, and said offhandedly, "I didn't brew it right."
Evelyn Grant's eyes widened. "Are you using me as a guinea pig?"
'Who does that!'
She gritted her teeth in anger and snatched the tea set from his hands. "I'll make the tea. You drink it."
Evelyn Grant didn't know the proper way to brew tea. She only ever had a few sips of the finished product with her father, Mr. Grant.
Working from memory, she pinched some tea leaves, tossed them into a cup, and poured in hot water. Then she placed it in front of Preston Keaton and glared at him fiercely. "Drink!"
A simple and straightforward brewing method.
It wasn't completely undrinkable.
Preston Keaton's expression remained perfectly composed. He lifted the lid, letting the steam drift out, then raised the cup to his lips and took a sip.
He nodded. "Tastes good."
Evelyn Grant: "?"
A smile in his eyes, Preston Keaton looked at her. "Don't believe me?"
