She endured the aching soreness as she got out of bed. After washing up in the bathroom, she got dressed and went downstairs.
Butler Shaw's face showed no sign of anything unusual. He was as gentle as ever, walking toward her with a smile.
"Miss Grant, the kitchen has prepared glutinous rice porridge with ejiao and brown sugar. I'll have someone get you a bowl. Mr. Keaton also instructed them to prepare Solara-style cuisine for you."
He continued, "Mr. Keaton went to Clearwater Bay. He'll be back soon."
Evelyn Grant gave a faint acknowledgment but showed no intention of heading to the dining room. She walked quickly toward the exit, striding straight through the garden with a reckless air. But then, her gaze froze, and her steps faltered to a stop.
