I froze the moment our eyes met.
There was something different about him… something I couldn't explain. His sharp gaze felt like he could see right through me, as if he already knew everything about my life.
"Who is he?" I whispered to my friend, trying to act normal.
She followed my eyes and then suddenly went quiet.
"Don't look at him too much," she said softly. "He's not someone you should mess with."
That made me even more curious.
Classes went on, but my mind was somewhere else. I kept thinking about that stranger. Why did his presence feel so… heavy?
After college, I was walking home alone when suddenly a black car stopped right in front of me.
My heart started beating fast.
The door slowly opened… and he stepped out.
The same guy.
"What do you want?" I asked, trying to stay strong, even though my voice was shaking.
He walked closer, his eyes never leaving mine.
"I've been looking for you," he said in a deep, calm voice.
My breath stopped.
"Looking for me? Why?"
He leaned a little closer and said something that changed everything—
"Because… you're going to marry me."
I felt the ground slip beneath my feet.
"What?! Are you crazy?" I almost shouted.
But he didn't react. Instead, he gave a slight smile.
"You'll understand soon."
Before I could say anything more, he got back into the car and left… leaving me standing there, completely shocked.
Who is he?
Why does he want to marry me?
And most importantly…
Why do I feel like my life is about to change forever?
