*Rose POV*
It's been few days since the interview and we've been staying home,anxious and expecting the results.
"Kate!, How about we go for a evening walk since we've been home all day and maybe get some Ice cream and pizza for tonight's movie" I suggested.
"I don't feel like going anywhere, I'm tried." she said drawing every word.
"Get up noww before I kick your ass of the bed." I threatened.
"Okay Mama." She quickly complied knowing I'm not joking.
We jogged to the convenience store to get the goodies and then decided to trek home.
"Rose,do you think we will get the job." Kate said feeling anxious.
"Stop that babe!, let's be assertive" I answered, "just stop thinking about that" I added.
Suddenly a sleek,pink sports car zoomed past splashing muddy water all over us.
"Ahh!" I shrieked, jumping back as the dirty water soaked my clothes and shoes. "What the…!"
Kate quickly put down the bag of goodies and rushed to help me,her eyes filled with anger. "Watch where you're going, you crazy driver!"
The car brake screeched, and came to a halt few meters away. A young woman with a haughty expression and a designer bag slung over her shoulder stepped out of the car.
"How dare you call me crazy!" She snapped "You clumsy fools should be grateful I didn't run you over!" she said eyeing Kate up and down.
I stepped forward, getting really pissed. "Excuse me?, You're the one who splashed mud on us,and now you're insulting us?"
"Do you even know who I am?" She sneered, "I am Bluey and I always get what I want.
Kate suddenly burst into laughter, "listen, we don't care who you are."
Her tone suddenly getting firmer, "You're at fault so you should apologize."
"Oops,I would never apologize to lowly fools like you both" she said looking at us disgustingly. She turned back, got into her car and left.
"I really dislike rich spoilt brats, They are always full of themselves." Kate said
"Don't let her bother you,let's go." I said handing her a bag of groceries.
The next day…
"Roseee!" Kate shouted, suddenly jumping on me
"I just got an email and it's from HR company. I got the job!!" She shouted really excited.
"Oh my God!, that's great news" I said hugging her
"But won't they call you already?" Kate asked, a question we don't have answers to
"They might still call, Let's just hope. And if they don't it's no big deal, I'll just try and get another job" I answered trying not to ruin the happy mood.
"Come here" she said, opening her arms widely, Pulling me into a consoling hug.

Kate's POV
The next morning, I arrived at the company dressed in a neat corporate outfit.
Immediately I entered, a friendly looking woman with a warm smile came to meet me.
"Are you Miss Kate Smith?" She asked still smiling warmly.
"Yes I am" I said smiling,also trying to be polite.
"Okay, I'm Nori." She said. "I am your partner and I'll be in charge of introducing,guiding and showing you around today." She added
"Such a beautiful name" I complimented.
"Thank you." She said.
We walked through different departments; the marketing team,IT Hub, even the break room and Nori introduced me to everyone.
After the whole introduction and tour, we got into an elevator and stopped on the 5th floor which she said is our working space.
"This is your space." Nori said pointing to a tidy space directly opposite the CEO's office.
"The CEO isn't in today due to some private business so you'll get to introduce yourself to him tomorrow, make sure you get to work as early as 7:50 and get his coffee ready before 8:15." She said.
"Okay, noted." I said
"You'll also be handling Mr Williams' schedule,emails and… his coffee. Black, no sugar."
"Okay." I said scribbling notes.
She helped me with other preparations, after which we went to the finance department where my pay was discussed. It's a huge sum,the kind I wasn't expecting.
"You can leave for the day, but make sure you get in early tomorrow." Nori said.
"Thank you so much Nori." I said before heading out.

The next morning.
"Rose,I'm leaving!!" I shouted so she could hear me as I head for the door.
"Okay babes,good luck." Rose said.
"God!, i'm soo late." I muttered as I entered the elevator.
The damn traffic, I couldn't even get his coffee.
Immediately I entered, I heard Nori being scolded by him.
"Good morning sir." I muttered looking down
"You're late, Ms kate." He said,he marble like eyes piercing through me
"I… apologies, sir. Traffic…
"My coffee?." He said
"I couldn't get it."
"I'll go get it now sir." Nori said trying to save the situation.
He leaned back in his chair and stared at me.
"You can leave." He said
I got to my desk and tried organizing his schedule for the day.
Few minutes later, Nori came back with his coffee and gave it to me.
" I'm sorry for the stress Nori." I apologized.
"It's fine" she answered smiling. Just make sure you get to work early next time.
"You're really lucky today, Mr Williams is the cold and strict type. It's surprising, he is just so calm about this" she said
"I hope you don't have it coming" She muttered while going into her office.
I knocked on his door waiting patiently for an answer
"Come in." He said
I walked in and placed the coffee on his desk
"Sir, your coffee." I said
"You have a meeting with the board directors by 9:00 and lunch with one of the investors by 12:00." I said reading from the pad and also trying to avoid his gaze.
I noticed he has been staring at me since I entered and it's just so weird and unsettling.
"Okay,I'll be out in five minutes." He finally said after what seems like forever.
I turned to leave just to hear he call me.
"Ms Kate, await your punishment." He said.
