When Nathan Thorne didn't answer, the man assumed he hadn't heard clearly and repeated himself.
"Why don't you just heal me completely? Why leave some of the injury? If you heal me all the way, it won't leave a scar, right?"
When he'd heard the man the first time, Nathan Thorne could have passed it off as mishearing.
But now that he'd said it again, Nathan Thorne knew he hadn't misheard. The man really had a screw loose.
"I'm using my Superpower to treat you," Nathan Thorne said coolly. "But my Superpower isn't inexhaustible."
"What do you mean?"
"My point is, there are a lot of other people here. They're all injured and need treatment, too. If I use up too much of my Superpower on you, I won't be able to heal many of the others. Why don't you ask them if they'd agree to that?"
Initially, everyone else had been watching the two of them as if they were watching a good show.
But after hearing what Nathan Thorne said, the looks in their eyes all changed.
He was right!
