The thugs hammered wildly at the alloy gate for some time, but only managed to leave a few dents and scratches. The gate's thickness and strength, far surpassing that of an ordinary blast door, made their efforts futile.
The leader, a burly man with a black scar across his face, was so furious that veins bulged on his forehead. He took a few steps back and roared at another intact camera on the gate. His voice, twisted by the external loudspeaker system, echoed into the base, dripping with cruelty.
