The black scorpion knew that if that white jade scythe sliced across its belly, only one fate awaited it: death.
So, to survive, it thrust up the end of its segmented abdomen. As long as the black stinger on its tail could successfully pierce the giant mantis's body, it would win this battle between predators.
Unfortunately, Vert's scythe sliced open its belly first. The shadow of death enveloped it, and its body gradually lost all feeling, but for an insect, death was not so swift.
Vert cut off the tip of the black scorpion's venomous stinger and presented it to Flora Bloom while simultaneously, and with great relish, devouring the scorpion's internal organs. Then, it dragged the taxi-sized scorpion over to Flora Bloom, gesturing for her to put the creature into her space.
"You mean it's not dead yet? It'll live if I just put it in the space and give it some spiritual water?"
