Simon didn't stand on ceremony. After he took his seat, Neal Wallace and the beautiful woman beside him sat down as well.
The beautiful woman had aged gracefully. Even in plain clothes, she couldn't conceal her innate air of nobility.
"You must be Flora Bloom, right?"
Flora Bloom nodded. "And you are?"
"I'm Simon's wife. Neal's stepmother." The beautiful woman said it with a casual air, showing no trace of awkwardness. In fact, Flora Bloom found the woman poised and refreshingly direct, not at all pretentious.
Whether before or after the apocalypse, Simon had always projected an image of being meticulous and cautious. He was unfailingly prudent in his affairs, yet he had an indelible stain on his record when it came to matters of the heart.
