The Tree of Life's contract was simple. A golden essence washed through Flora Bloom's soul, carving a complex yet vibrant, life-filled brand deep within it.
"This way, even if you die, your soul and mine will be connected for all eternity. Through every lifetime, Little Master, I will wait for you to return."
Flora Bloom struggled to curl her lips into a smile. Her body was mangled and broken, and red was the only color she could see.
She used her last ounce of strength to force the golden essence into the Eternal Life Contract. Meanwhile, she watched as her inner space, like a vast, alien world descending from another dimension, projected itself over all of Morhaven, enveloping the city.
BANG! The Tree of Life's branches whipped about within the space, finally lashing a crack into its fabric.
"What's going on? Why has the space here become unstable?"
The two men in black could not see any of this; only Flora Bloom could.
