"Cael! Cael!!"
Caelis's body immediately stiffened. He knew that voice all too well. Pretending not to hear it, he deliberately focused on Lina instead.
The little girl stared wide-eyed at the vendor preparing steaming cups of hot chocolate. The rich aroma drifting through the air made her practically drool with anticipation. Caelis couldn't help chuckling at the adorable expression on her face.
"Hey, Cael! Didn't you hear me calling you?"
Caelis let out a resigned sigh. In the end... The person determined to find him had come over himself. "You were calling me?" He turned around calmly. "This place is crowded. I couldn't hear you."
"Nonsense!" Jaxen folded his arms. "You're a beastman. Since when has your hearing become that bad?"
"I'm suppressing my beast aura," Caelis answered indifferently. "Besides..." He narrowed his eyes. "Why are you wandering around without your bodyguards?"
"Who said I came alone?" Jaxen proudly pointed behind him. "I brought Louis with me."
