Chapter 1 - Prologue

Violence was all he had ever known.

Abandoned when he was only five years old, Eunho was forced into the harsh world—a world where fighting for survival was normal even if it meant slicing someone's neck for a piece of bread.

That was the life he had led.

A life where love, friendship and family was void—a fantasy he had never dared to dream of.

Even as the light slowly faded from his eyes, all Eunho could think about was the roast chicken he had devoured earlier and a warmth filled his chest in contrast to his body.

A smile formed on his face, even though his life was null—he really enjoyed the delicacies life had to offer.

The food. The booze. The entertainment.

It was everything to him.

The only other thing he knew besides death.

The stars were scattered across the sky, a trail of light soared across the sky and at that moment his heart stopped.

A light beamed, flashing his eyes.

"Eunho!"

A man stood in front of a whiteboard, a textbook in hand. A sea of curious eyes stared at him, while a few remained unbothered.

"No way,"

Eunho jerked up amd his chair hit the ground, as his jade green eyes widened in shock. "No way," he muttered to himself.

A few more heads turned in his direction—confusion and irritation was written on their faces at the sudden noise of his chair.

Eunho paid no mind to them, his eyes scanned his hands and his pulse picked up when he flexed his fingers.

"Young man, sit down," the man ordered.

"Dude, what are you doing?" A boy who sat beside him, tilted his head confused—he had short dirty blonde buzzed, dark brown eyes and a few bandages wrapped around his neck and hands.

"I get to live…"

His voice was barely above a whisper, his eyes scanned the class before him and he darted out the classroom in a hurry.

"I get to live!"

He shouted as he ran across the hallways of the school, a bright smile painted on his face.

Maybe all those victims were not so pathetic afterall, the joy of being alive compared to no other.

A pair of sharp green eyes glared back at him as he stood in front of the boys bathroom mirror, he ran a hand through his messy crimson curls and he was in disbelief.

It was uncanny.

People noticed him, they saw him.

His reflection moved at the same time as him and it all seemed so impressive.

But there were more pressing matters.

"Eunho," The blonde haired boy from earlier entered the restroom and was visibly confused when he saw Eunho make weird facial expressions in the mirror. "Are you high?"

Eunho took a calculated glance at the boy, he scanned him head to toe. The boy had a lean build but even with the school uniform, Eunho registered the hidden muscles.

"Did you seriously get high on your own supply?" The blonde scoffed.

'The way he is talking to me, it seems as though he is familiar with me,' Eunho noted.

"I am hungry, what's for lunch?"
