ELARA'S POV.
A suicide text. I never did that, not in a million years. He was the last person I wanted to talk to.
"Come on, you don't have to push me away," he uttered. "I'm here, aren't I?"
"You must have got me confused with one of your fuck buddies. I never sent you a text," I spat out. "Why would I even think to reach out to you, Marcus. You are the last person I want to see right now."
"I'm pretty sure it's you," he dipped his hands into pockets with confidence.
"Get over yourself, will you? I want nothing to do with you, Marcus. Is this one of your attempts to prove a silly point that I am no better than…"
"Here it is," he fixed his screen right before my eyes and I paused, scanning the phone number and ID right away.
They were mine but I never recalled sending him a damn message. I had him blocked and muted.
"I feel useless. My boss hates me and uses me, I can't continue living like this. I'm going to kill myself." The last part of the lengthy message read.
