Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Wormholes Do Exist

Takahashi wore his normal home clothes and sat down to eat instant noodles.

He took in a sip of his noodles, then looked at his ghoul, floating in the air and spinning like a malfunctioned ceiling fan, "Well, Sir Slips-A-Lot, why did you want me to adopt you?"

Slips-A-Lot turned upside-down, "Because I want to go home. The officials there don't allow us to return if we do not take someone from whatever planet we are on. That's a stupid rule to increase population."

"Leave that rule. But by home, what do you mean? Where's your home?"

"The To-Ho Planet."

Takahashi dropped his chopsticks, "The PLANET WHAT!?"

"The To-Ho Planet," Slips-A-Lot repeated.

"You mean, there are entire planets where ghouls reside? So you're not supernatural, YOU'RE ALIENS!?"

"Yes. Probably. You guys have really good intelligence. Even I didn't think of that fact earlier."

"What do you mean, probably? You just said your home is a foreign planet."

Slips-A-Lot started spinning again, upside down, "The people of the To-Ho planet are divided into three groups. Demons, Humans, and Ghouls. Ghouls and Humans get the same vibe sometimes, but the demons are mostly into themselves. War is common though."

Takahashi started sipping in noodles again, "You mean, there are humans there? On another planet?"

"Yes. There are. Humans aren't a limited edition stock only found on Earth. They're like cockroaches; you can find them everywhere. Same nonsense, different address."

Takahashi lifted his spoon and took in the last sip of his noodles, and experienced their beautiful taste. He kept his chopsticks and sat at his table. Slips-A-Lot hovered beside him, "Now what are you going to do?" he asked.

"Slips-A-Lot, I'm actually bored of doing science every time. But now that I have you, let's write a book about the planet together!" He took out a pen and a completely blank notebook, which had a cat and a mouse cover for some reason.

"Do you mean you want to go there?"

Takahashi looked towards Slips-A-Lot and laughed, "Now come on! How can we go to that planet millions of light-years away?"

"We can, using wormholes."

Takahashi stared directly at Slips-A-Lot in the eye. "You are saying those exist?"

"Yes, I can even summon one right now."

"Now come on, you're joking, right?"

"Not at all, look at me." Slips-A-Lot span around his small hands and made a portal, which was twinkling purple like amethyst.

Takahashi fell down from his chair. He slowly moved and kept his hand near his heart as his smartwatch blared high bpm warnings. "Never in my life have I seen such a thing. I thought wormhole pictures were just clickbait thumbnails for conspiracy videos."

Slips-A-Lot smirked, "Okay, do you want to go inside?"

"No. Obviously not. What if I get killed?"

"No. That won't happen. If you need a break right now, then you can go in. Whatever, I'm going in."

"Wait... Maybe I should. Because I desperately need a break."

"Okay. But you have to agree to the terms and conditions." Slips-A-Lot's eyes turned red.

"What?"

"The terms and conditions are that this isn't any dream, and you'd be actually teleported to that world. And, at last, when you are done with your life, I will kill you and consume your nutrients. And if you ever wanted to return to Earth, good luck finding another wormhole."

A loop of spirals spun around Takahashi's head. "I'm too exhausted from life right now. That same science stuff everyday. And I can't even quit from that job because if I quit the government would kill me. Fine, feed me now, kill me later. Let's just hope for a life which isn't long and stressed but which is short and sweet."

"And remember, the wormhole doesn't guarantee your age on that planet. It depends on luck."

"I agree."

"Then follow me." Slips-A-Lot dove inside the portal and vanished.

'This was the hardest decision of my life, but let's see what happens.' Takahashi got up, put his leg forward, and stepped in. 'Here I come.'

Takahashi was inside a black chamber with complete absence of light. He was spinning in circles and moving at a tremendous speed. It felt like his soul was trying to escape his body. Soon, his stomach started singing songs, and he felt nauseous. He started hallucinating about his notebook and pen, noodles, Slips-A-Lot, and whatever had happened to him.

A few minutes of silence later, Takahashi looked up and screamed out of fear, "AAA!"
