Chapter 33 - Chapter 33: Future Plans

Midnight, Genji and the others were sitting together chatting.

"By the way, Mei Mei, you're graduating next year, right? Have you thought about your plans after graduation?"

"I plan to work as an Assistant Supervisor for a while," Mei Mei replied.

"Assistant Supervisor?" The others were a bit confused. With Mei Mei's current strength, she could comfortably be considered a Grade 1, and she wasn't even weak among Grade 1 Jujutsu Sorcerers. Why would someone like her want to be an Assistant Supervisor?

"That's right. I intend to serve as an Assistant Supervisor for a while to build up some connections, and then work as a freelance Jujutsu Sorcerer. After all, in this society, connections are still very important." Mei Mei, wearing deep blue pajamas, rested her chin on her hand and smiled at the group.

"Mei Mei, you really plan far ahead." Gojo Satoru said, looking a bit dazed after hearing Mei Mei's description of the future. His own future was something he could see at a glance; it would inevitably involve returning to the Gojo Family after graduation to serve as the head. But he just felt that such a future was a bit boring. Somehow, he thought of that illusion from before.

"The future, huh?" Geto Suguru also murmured to himself. He had always taken it upon himself to exorcise Cursed Spirits and protect ordinary people. In the future, he planned to join Tokyo Jujutsu High after graduation. As a Jujutsu Sorcerer for Tokyo Jujutsu High, he would accept missions.

But Geto Suguru had a bit of selfishness in this plan. Although the encounter during the mission at the apartment building was indeed just an illusion, such a realistic experience made him feel a bit worried about the future. If possible, he didn't want to be too far away from Tokyo Jujutsu High or everyone at Tokyo Jujutsu High.

"What about you, Genji?" Mei Mei asked Genji, who was sitting next to Shoko.

"As for me, I'll probably stay at Tokyo Jujutsu High as a teacher, just like Yaga Masamichi," Genji replied with a smile.

"I've had enough of being a freelance Jujutsu Sorcerer for the past few years. It's better to find a place where I can have a stable salary. Teaching students and taking on missions occasionally... that kind of life isn't bad. And that's not to mention that Shoko will definitely stay at Tokyo Jujutsu High by then."

"Yo, yo, some people aren't even pretending anymore," Gojo Satoru chimed in from the side, sounding sarcastic after hearing Genji words.

"Gojo!" Shoko felt a bit shy and shouted at Gojo Satoru. Then she glanced at the person who was grinning foolishly, and immediately reached out to pinch the soft skin on Genji waist, twisting it 180 degrees.

"Ouch, ouch, ouch! Shoko, take it easy! You're going to pinch the flesh right off!" Genji screamed under Shoko's hand, while Gojo Satoru and Geto Suguru laughed out loud on the side.

"You two!" Seeing the two troublemakers mocking him, Genji, after finally managing to escape Shoko's 'attack', turned and lunged at Geto Suguru and Gojo Satoru. The group started fighting again.

Shoko quietly slipped to the side to avoid being caught in the crossfire. But just as she reached out to touch her beer can, she was surprised to find that the can was empty.

"Don't tell me..." Shoko looked at the beer can in her hand, which looked extremely similar to the juice cans that Gojo Satoru and the others were drinking, and had an ominous premonition.

"Hey, Satoru, what are you doing?"

Sure enough, Shoko noticed that Gojo Satoru suddenly shouted over there, and then started dancing in an extremely eye-stinging way.

"Haha! Gojo, you scum. That dance looks terrible, watch me!" Utahime, on the side, was also blushing and started dancing along with Gojo Satoru.

However, compared to Gojo Satoru's chaotic limb-flailing, which looked like an ancient god's dance, the dance Utahime was performing was the shrine maiden dance passed down from her family, which was incomparably more elegant than Gojo Satoru's.

Watching the two of them dancing, Shoko quietly stepped closer and sniffed their cups.

"Sure enough, those two mixed up the beer and juice," Shoko said with some helplessness, but then she went on to sniff everyone's cups one by one.

"How come everyone's cup has turned into alcohol?"

"It must have been when Senior Utahime was pouring drinks for everyone earlier and got them mixed up. She was busy bickering with Satoru at the time." Genji face was also a bit flushed. He hadn't realized there was alcohol in the cup earlier and had downed it in one go. Not having much experience with alcohol, his face immediately began to flush.

As he spoke, Genji looked at Geto Suguru, who had already fallen asleep on the side.

"Geto must be drunk too, but his drinking habits look better than Gojo's." As for the dance (?) Gojo Satoru was doing, Genji couldn't bear to look at it either.

"Ara, it looks like this is all for tonight." Mei Mei said to Genji, who was still barely maintaining sobriety, and Shoko, who had drunk several cans of beer and baijiu but was completely fine. Although Mei Mei had also drunk some alcohol, the amount was nothing to her.

"It looks like that's the only way. Mei Mei, you go rest first. Leave this guy to me." Genji said, delivering a hand-blade chop to Gojo Satoru's neck, but Gojo Satoru just swayed and didn't fall.

"Eh?" Seeing Gojo Satoru so resilient, Genji immediately followed up with five more hits, and finally, Gojo Satoru swayed and fell to the ground.

"He really is tough. Now then, Uta... Eh? Senior Utahime? I haven't even done anything yet." Just as Genji turned his attention to Utahime, she had already fallen face-down on the ground.

"Senior Utahime seems to be completely drunk." Shoko flipped Utahime over, checked, and then said to Genji.

"Is that so? Then I'm relieved." Genji said, glancing at the few people sprawled on the ground, and then continued:

"I'll throw these two into their room first, and then we'll carry Senior Utahime back to her room together."

After speaking, Genji shouldered Geto Suguru with one arm and grabbed Gojo Satoru by the collar with the other. Just like that, carrying one and dragging another, he took the two of them back to the room upstairs.

Just as Shoko and Genji were helping Utahime to her room, Utahime muttered in her sleep:

"The Grade 1 review finally passed... I am not a burden..."

"Senior Utahime's Grade 1 Jujutsu Sorcerer review seems to have failed again. The Higher-Ups think Senior Utahime's Cursed Technique isn't enough to serve as a Grade 1. And she seems to be a bit bothered by the fact that she didn't score a single point in this team battle."

Shoko explained to Genji.

"Eh, although Senior Utahime's raw strength is indeed insufficient, the Higher-Ups didn't count the support ability of her Cursed Technique at all. In the end, it's a problem with the review criteria."

"Shoko, Genji, bastard Gojo, Geto, don't leave me behind... I can still eat!"

Shoko and Genji looked at each other and smiled, completely unable to understand how Utahime connected the two sentences.

"Alright, we're here. Get some good rest tonight."

"Wait a minute, Genji."

Just as Genji was about to leave after sending the two to their room, Shoko suddenly called out to him.

"What's wrong, Shoko? You..."

Before Genji could finish, Shoko suddenly kissed him on the cheek.

"I want to be with you forever too." Shoko smiled, then ran back to her room, leaving Genji stunned in place.

Genji returned to his room with Gojo Satoru and Geto Suguru in a daze. He didn't know why, but Gojo Satoru insisted on sharing a room with the two of them.

Walking into the room, he saw Geto Suguru, who had been kicked off the bed by Gojo Satoru and was subconsciously looking for a blanket on the floor, and Gojo Satoru, who scratched his butt on the bed and then turned over to continue sleeping soundly.

"Forget it."

Seeing this scene, Genji didn't know why, but his heart suddenly calmed down. He shook his head, washed his face, and got into bed.

"Satoru, stop stealing my blanket!"

Genji voice rang out once again in the quiet room.

At this time, on the other side, inside Kyoto Jujutsu High.

Tsukumo Yuki was studying the rules of the individual competition, muttering to herself:

"As expected, one-sided matches are boring. I'll have to think of a way regarding the rules; I need to restrict Genji and the others." As she said this, Tsukumo Yuki wore a somewhat devious smile.
