Chapter 148 - Robot Attack

34% Union Power, fuse!

Standing before King were Psykos, Sweet Mask, and Black Sperm. They were the first to fuse with the Union Power and could perfectly absorb and integrate this energy.

Hum!

Massive energy surged into their bodies, and three auras began to skyrocket wildly.

"What rich power!"

Sweet Mask felt the immense energy within his body, the Orochi cells he had previously fused with were also continuously strengthening.

"It feels like I've found that previous sensation again, and I don't even have to turn into a monster form."

Hum!

A massive phantom appeared behind Psykos, identical to the former Psykos-Orochi, but this time her main body still maintained its human appearance.

Replication! Replication! Fuse! Replication! Fuse!

Black Sperm's body kept splitting and fusing, and soon a white figure appeared before everyone.

"The ultimate fusion of fifty four trillion cells, Platinum Sperm has arrived!"

Seeing that the strength of the three had been greatly improved, King couldn't help but nod secretly.

Psykos had basically restored 80% of Psykos-Orochi's combat power, with strength close to Dragon+ level.

After such a long time of fusing with the Orochi cells, Sweet Mask's strength was basically on par with Psykos.

As for Black Sperm, the system panel showed that his strength had fully recovered, though it still hadn't broken through Dragon+ level.

[Pet: Black Sperm: Peak Dragon-level]

[Skills:

Sperm Tsunami: Split cells to the extreme, devouring everything like a tsunami.

Unreasonable Counter: Use both hands and the antennae on the head to form three rings for defense, it can parry all attacks.

Union Power Clone: Split into three clones of variable size, possessing the same combat power as the main body.]

"If any God's agents descend, with your current strength, you can handle them. However, if you encounter a Divine Emissary, it is better to avoid the battle. The current Earth cannot withstand such intense combat."

King had previously asked Psykos and the others to hide their tracks, partly to avoid the eyes of the Hero Association and Neo Heroes, and partly to avoid being targeted by God, which would lead to the dispatching of God's agents.

However, the three's strength was now more than enough to deal with God's agents. Even when facing a Divine Emissary, they could put up a fight if they joined forces, though they would need to move the battlefield outside of Earth.

"Continue to stay here. Next, I am going to find the others."

A-City, in the Hero Association headquarters operations room.

Jess looked at the intelligence in his hand, his face full of gravity.

"Jess-san, the news has already been communicated to all heroes." Maria reported.

"I understand. The headquarters will immediately enter a Level 1 combat readiness state, ready to respond to emergencies at any time."

Under Jess's command, the Hero Association was methodically making combat preparations.

"If the intelligence transmitted by Child Emperor is true, then the heroes lurking in Neo Heroes are in danger." Jess's eyes were grave.

He had just received intelligence sent by Child Emperor through a secret channel that Neo Heroes was about to make a major move against the Hero Association.

And this time, it seemed to be targeted at the entire human society. The scale was no less than a world war, but unfortunately, the enemy this time was not a monster.

'Child Emperor, Metal Bat, and Sekingar. I hope you can all be safe and sound.'

...

In the Hero Apartment, Genos was looking at the messages on his phone, while Saitama was watching the weather forecast in boredom.

"Why are the Hero Association's TV programs so monotonous lately?"

"Genos, are there any monster incidents lately? I don't know where King has run off to, I haven't seen him in a long time." Saitama muttered.

"Sensei, the association has issued a notice. Everyone is to enter a Level 1 combat readiness state, ready to respond to emergencies at any time. It seems something big is about to happen." Genos was not overly nervous.

The last time monsters invaded, it happened to be a sale day, so Saitama was out grocery shopping and wasn't there. But now, no matter what kind of enemy attacks, as long as Saitama is here, there is no enemy that cannot be defeated.

"Oh? Is that so. That means there will be something to do soon." Saitama's eyes lit up.

He had been bored to death lately. Apart from casually taking care of a few Dragon-level monsters while out grocery shopping, he hadn't done anything.

"Alert! A large number of robots discovered invading S-City! Disaster level preliminarily determined as Dragon-level!"

"Alert! A large number of robots discovered invading Q-City! Disaster level preliminarily determined as Dragon-level!"

"Alert! A robot legion discovered invading M-City! Disaster level preliminarily determined as Dragon-level!"

"Alert! A massive energy body detected near Z-City! Disaster level preliminarily determined as Dragon-level!"

...

A series of red alarms kept flashing on the screen.

Jess's face was extremely grim.

"Jess-san, a large number of robots have suddenly appeared in the cities, and they are conducting indiscriminate attacks."

"Heroes in various cities have entered into battle, but the enemy's numbers are too great, reinforcements are needed everywhere."

Sweat couldn't help but appear on Maria's forehead.

The Hero Association had never received such a large-scale disaster event. Even the last Monster Association riot didn't have this scale, it was just like a world war.

"Approximately how many enemies are there?"

Jess calmed down and began to analyze the battle situation. He believed that with so many robots, someone must be manipulating them from behind.

"Preliminary estimates put the number of the robot legion at approximately... three million!"

"Hiss..." Jess gasped.

"Immediately notify the government to mobilize troops to suppress them. Notify the heroes guarding the Hero Association to immediately set out to reinforce other cities." Jess commanded methodically.

If this disaster was not dealt with properly, then humanity would not be far from extinction.

"Alert! A robot legion has appeared in A-City and is rapidly approaching headquarters!"

Another alarm sounded. In the surveillance footage of A-City, dense swarms of robots were surging toward the Hero Association headquarters from all directions like a tide.

"Jess-san, an army of over 500,000 robots is rapidly approaching!" Maria exclaimed.

"Damn it! Notify the headquarters heroes to prepare for battle!" Jess had no choice but to give the order.

The Hero Association headquarters must absolutely not fall. Otherwise, humanity would be completely plunged into despair.

However, this also meant that the other cities under attack could only rely on their own strength. Now, he only hoped that the heroes in those other cities could hold out until reinforcements arrived.

"King..."

Although the enemy was coming aggressively, they had a trump card on their side too.

"Are you looking for me?"

Thump! Thump!

The roaring sound of an engine rang out.

Jess turned his head, and a look of wild joy appeared on his face. "King, you've returned!"
