Chapter 10 - Report 8.5- Oh, Beautiful Aurora

Albert found himself in a swamp. A foul stench reached his nose forcing him to breathe through his mouth.

"Hm?" He looked around to find he was standing in a putrid black bog of squirming meat that glowed with a blue hue. It's rancid smell told him that it was flesh. "Where the hell am I?"

The swamp was something foreign to him. That alone raised even more questions as Albert has been in many swamps before and none were like the one he is in now.

"Must be a nightmare or something." He said looking at a squirming, writhing around his feet.

"—ady Aurora! You're going to dirty yourself!"

Albert turned his head to see beauty, a living embodiment of light.

"Oh."

He saw a woman with four pairs of butterfly wings, long golden hair that flowed down like a curtain of light, fair skin like snow and long ears. She wore golden accessories and a pure white dress that add to her already ephemeral beauty.

"Any creature living in a bog like this must be even filthier than the mors!" shouted one Aurora's attendant.

'An elf!? A fairy!?'

"Why would you say something like that? Just look at how much it's struggling to reach the light." Aurora spoke with an earnest smile.

Albert watched as she stepped into the bog of flesh.

"It's okay. This lake is quite shallow. I'm sure even I can help it."

She reached out, slowly bending down to the flesh.

Squirm~

From the clump of flesh a black hand emerged.

Squelch~

Aurora pulled the hand to reveal that the hand slowly became more white as her own.

"EEK!! What IS that thing!? It looks rotten!!"

"Please, get away from it, Lady Aurora! You'll ruin your dress!!"

With her other hand Aurora reached out and helped out of the flesh a head that revealed who it was.

"Lancelot?" Albert softly said, seeing what lay under Lancelot's visor.

"Oh my…" She looked at Lancelot with some surprise and curiosity. "You poor thing. You must be so cold."

More of Lancelot's body began to form and leave it's primordial soup. It began to move and mimic the appearance of Aurora with a slender body and frame.

"You're not a water faerie, are you?" She smiled ever more lightly and warmly like that of a mother. "Hehe. Hello there, darling one. Or, good morning, I think. Yes that's better."

Lancelot gazed into Aurora's bright amber eyes, she was memorized by them, Aurora as a whole. She was her light, her savior.

"My name is Aurora. What's yours?"

"___" Lancelot could not say a word, but her vocal cords were still being adjusted to replicate how Aurora sounds and absorb the language being spoken.

Lancelot's physical appearance may have took Aurora's as a template as Lancelot's hair turned white, her eyes a duller, yet shimmering amber. Yes, she couldn't fully imitated Aurora's appearance but enough of it to consider them sisters.

"Now that we're friends, could I offer you some tea?" She began to cradle Lancelot as if she was her child. "Oh, only if you like tea, of course."

"___" Lancelot mouth began to move. "Aurora." She said her first words.

"Oh, how lovely you can talk." Aurora said warmly.

Lancelot's voice was still a bit rough, but it quickly began to get better with each passing second.

"Aurora… lovely."

"What is your name?"

"… Name?"

"Hm." Aurora made a pensive expression. "If you do not have a name then I shall gift you with one. From this day forward you are Mel—"

Blink!

"… Hm?" Albert wakes up from his dream.
