Chapter 63: God-like Development (Part 2)

"Gasp..."

King stared blankly at the Allosaurus's actions. What kind of God-like development was this? A Demon Level Monster raising its hand to me... oh no, was it raising its claw in surrender?

"Why?"

He quirked his lips, voicing the doubt in his heart. The Allosaurus's surrender felt nonsensical and unreal to him. Shouldn't a Demon Level Monster fight to the death? In all his years, this was the first time he'd heard of a proud Demon Level Monster surrendering.

"My strength is similar to that of the Ankylosaurus and the Velociraptor. Both of them died by your hand. And looking at you, you killed both of them consecutively within a day, yet there isn't a trace of fatigue on your entire body, not even a wrinkle on your clothes, let alone any injuries. All these details tell me that your strength far surpasses ours. I can confidently say that killing us requires absolutely no effort from you."

The Allosaurus gave a logical analysis of a pile of details, finally concluding that King's strength was terrifying. The title of "Strongest Man" was no empty slogan.

"..."

King blinked. "Sigh, you clever fellow. The ancients often said that those who surrender are smart people; it truly doesn't deceive me. I... I'm really not as strong as you imagine. The reason everyone considers me the 'Strongest Man' is because I 'picked up' Saitama... Uh, oh right, where's that Baldy, Saitama? I'm following him just to pick up scraps, but it's been over ten minutes, and I've already dealt with two Demon Level Monsters myself. How come there's no movement from his side?"

He glanced back at the Earthquake Dragon, finding that it was still full of vigor. Its tail, over ten meters long, was sweeping wildly, turning everything within a dozen meters into rubble. From above, it looked like a circle with the Earthquake Dragon at its center.

"That guy Saitama... he wouldn't have detoured to the supermarket to grab discounted items, would he?"

King frowned, feeling extremely vexed. Usually, Saitama's monster-killing efficiency was very high, essentially "one punch, one kill." How could it be that after so long, the Earthquake Dragon was still perfectly fine? Something must have happened.

"Hey, Allosaurus, go to the ruins and dig out the Velociraptor's corpse. I'll go check on the Earthquake Dragon for a bit and be right back."

King casually instructed the surrendering Allosaurus, then drifted towards the Earthquake Dragon.

As for whether the Allosaurus would run away, he bet it wouldn't dare.

Clever-by-half types like the Allosaurus are usually very suspicious. King letting it act alone so easily would surely make the suspicious creature think King was testing it, and it wouldn't dare to run away lightly.

Sure enough, when the Allosaurus saw King flying towards the Earthquake Dragon without any precautions, various thoughts immediately flooded its mind: "King's supervision of me is so lax? Does he truly believe my surrender is sincere? No, looking at his performance just now, King is a smart person. How could a smart person make such a serious mistake? He's definitely testing me. Don't be fooled by his apparent departure; analyzing his ability to fly, I can conclude that King is an esper. A powerful esper can kill people from a thousand miles away. If I dared to escape, King would definitely erase me from this world without mercy. Phew~ Stay calm, I must stay calm. As a smart person, facing such an obviously flawed temptation, I absolutely cannot fall for it. I absolutely cannot gamble my life on that sliver of hope for escape."

It launched into a furious analysis, oblivious that it had become a complete idiot!

King brazenly flew towards the Earthquake Dragon. With the Ankylosaurus's defenses active, he was completely fearless of the Earthquake Dragon's attacks.

Rumble!

When he got close to the Earthquake Dragon, he found that it seemed to have fallen into a state of furious rage. Its slender tail swung wildly, destroying all the buildings on the flat ground.

The Earthquake Dragon roared repeatedly: "ROAR! Damn human, let go of Lord Earthquake Dragon!"

"What happened?"

To avoid being hit by the Earthquake Dragon's tail, King didn't get too close. He hovered in mid-air, gazing at the rampaging Earthquake Dragon. After a moment, he suddenly realized the Earthquake Dragon was bobbing up and down with tiny movements.

"What the hell is going on?"

He was greatly astonished. He circled the Earthquake Dragon in mid-air, found a spot with a wide view, and upon closer inspection, saw that the Earthquake Dragon's massive body was actually suspended. Standing beneath its toes was a person—none other than Saitama, who had been quiet for so long. Saitama had grabbed the Earthquake Dragon's toes, literally lifted it up, and was even doing squats with the Earthquake Dragon.

King cautiously approached Saitama, leaning an ear to listen...

"13725!"

"13726!"

"13727!"

"..."

King watched the indefatigable Saitama, dumbfounded. This Baldy was treating the Earthquake Dragon as a piece of weightlifting equipment, using it for strength training. In just a short ten-odd minutes, Saitama had astonishingly already performed over ten thousand squats while holding the Earthquake Dragon. My god, that's incredibly messed up!

"13728!"

"13729!"

Saitama continued to train, lifting the roaring and helpless Earthquake Dragon, muttering to himself as he counted the repetitions.

Seeing Saitama's complete lack of self-awareness, King immediately shouted: "Baldy, stop messing around! We still have other Monsters to deal with! Quickly finish this fight and move the battle elsewhere! There's still a Demon Level Monster waiting for me to pick up the scraps in City L!"

Bro, stop wasting time! If you want to train, go home and do 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, and a 10km run! Don't block the street!

"Uh, oh right, there's still a Demon Level Monster that hasn't been dealt with in City L." Saitama casually tossed the Earthquake Dragon aside. Immediately, a rumbling sound echoed, and the ground shook. The Earthquake Dragon, having been thrown by him, directly crashed into and collapsed a block of residential buildings.

King watched the instantly devastated large area of the district, his face utterly speechless. That guy Saitama, he truly was... a hero driven by hobby. Being a hero was indeed entirely out of interest, not for any grand reasons like protecting citizens' lives, safety, or property. Hence, he acted with almost no qualms, doing whatever he pleased.

Saitama looked at King, scratched his face, and asked, "Hey, which way is City L?"

King pointed in the direction of City L, and at the same time said, "Next time, don't call me 'hey.' I have a name, I'm called... uh, where did he go?"

Just as he was about to formally introduce himself, he suddenly realized Saitama had already rushed towards City L and vanished from his sight.

"..."

Saitama, you damn Baldy, rushing to reincarnate! Oh, it seems more like rushing to send others to reincarnate.

Roar!

Just as King was annoyed by Saitama's impetuousness, a thunderous beast roar suddenly echoed.

Rumble!

The ground shook violently.

"The Earthquake Dragon?"

King watched the Earthquake Dragon, which had stood up again, with astonishment. So Saitama hadn't casually finished off the Earthquake Dragon just now! What a pain in the ass!

"ROAR!"

The Earthquake Dragon, having been toyed with by Saitama for so long, was already filled with rage. After regaining its freedom, it quickly stood up, its slender, whip-like tail swinging wildly, causing a continuous rumbling of collapsing houses.

It roared furiously, "Damn human, receive Lord Earthquake Dragon's wrath—"

Bang!

The Earthquake Dragon's long neck snapped into two with a crack, and its roar abruptly ceased. Its enormous body swayed left and right a few times, then powerless, it toppled sideways, collapsing another tall building.

"Almost forgot about you, fella."

Saitama shook off his sticky gloves and waved to the dumbfounded King. "Hey, Undies, I'm heading off!" No sooner had he spoken than he was at the end of the street, and in another blink, he vanished instantly.

"Uh, wait a minute, you damn Baldy! Who are you calling 'Undies'?! Do you want to fight? If you're so tough, don't run! Hmph, you ran fast this time, so I didn't catch you. Don't let me see you again next time, or I'll teach you a lesson in minutes!"

King reacted, roaring a few times in the direction Saitama had disappeared.

"King... killed the Earthquake Dragon?!?!?"

Fear from the Allosaurus!

(Speechless, yet a compulsive urge to say something.)
