Chapter 14 - Kong

Under normal circumstances, even if a Celestial Dragon encountered trouble, they wouldn't personally come to Marine Headquarters.

So now that one had shown up alone, Kong had a bad feeling about it.

More likely than not—this was trouble.

"You didn't have any dealings with a Celestial Dragon on this trip, did you?" Kong asked, looking at Garp.

Garp paused, then looked at Kong, Sengoku, and Tsuru before protesting,

"Hey now, Kong—that's a bit unfair, singling me out like that. Why would I go out of my way to mess with those Celestial Dragon scumbags?"

Kong immediately made a shushing gesture and said in a low voice,

"Garp, watch your words. Walls have ears."

Garp's expression darkened. He shoved snacks into his mouth and muttered through them,

"Fine. I'll keep my mouth busy with food."

Kong spread his hands helplessly.

"It can't be helped. When it comes to fighting pirates, you're better than Sengoku. But in other matters… Sengoku is far more rational."

That drew a soft laugh from Tsuru.

"This time, Garp stayed with us the whole way. So whatever this Celestial Dragon wants, it shouldn't have anything to do with us."

"If none of you had any contact with a Celestial Dragon, and neither did we… then why would one come all the way to Marine Headquarters?" Kong muttered, puzzled.

"Why not just go see for yourself?" Garp suggested.

"..."

Kong let out a long sigh.

"I'm already buried in work, and now the Celestial Dragons come to stir things up too. Sengoku—you handle it. Whatever it takes, find a way to send him off."

"Understood."

Meanwhile, on Is's side—

With his identity as a Celestial Dragon, he moved freely even within Marine Headquarters.

No one dared block his path.

No one dared question him.

At that moment, a Marine Rear Admiral who had confirmed his identity hurried over and saluted.

"I am a Rear Admiral of Marine Headquarters. Saint Aurelius D. Virel Is—how may I assist you?"

"Don't follow me."

With just that, Is and Madara walked past him.

"Yes, Saint Aurelius D. Virel Is!"

The Rear Admiral nodded, not daring to say another word.

He knew full well the consequences of angering a Celestial Dragon.

Looking at the approaching location marker, Is muttered,

"Didn't expect the excavation site to be inside Marine Headquarters this time."

"Hmm?"

Madara glanced at him, slightly puzzled.

"So why exactly are we here?"

"You'll see soon enough."

Moments later, Is spotted it—

A glowing blue area.

But this time, it wasn't on the ground.

It was embedded in a wall.

He didn't think much of it.

The system could place it anywhere it wanted.

As long as it didn't make things more difficult, he wasn't complaining.

Is scanned the surroundings—no Marines nearby.

Without hesitation, a shovel appeared in his hand, and he began digging into the glowing section of the wall.

Just like before—

The moment the shovel touched it, the glowing portion collapsed instantly.

After glancing at the rewards, Is was quite satisfied.

"So… Is, don't tell me you came all this way just to dig a hole in someone else's wall?" Madara asked, frowning.

Hearing that, Is looked at him strangely.

"Wait… you didn't see anything?"

"I did. I saw you digging into a wall. Pretty fast too—went right through it," Madara replied.

"…"

"You're telling me you didn't see the glowing blue section?"

Madara shook his head.

To him, it was just an ordinary wall.

At that moment, Is understood—

Even though Madara was from another world, only he himself could see the system's interface.

Since Madara couldn't see it, there was no point explaining.

"Let's go. Time to head back."

"So you really came all this way just to dig someone else's wall?" Madara still found it hard to believe.

"Fate," Is replied casually.

That simple answer somehow made sense to Madara.

"...Alright then. Let's go."

But just as they turned—

Sengoku, Tsuru, and a group of Marines quickly approached.

"I am Vice Admiral Sengoku of Marine Headquarters. Saint Aurelius D. Virel Is, may I ask what brings you here? If you need anything, the Marines will spare no effort to assist you."

Sengoku saluted as he spoke.

"You arrived in such a hurry… was it to damage Marine Headquarters?" Tsuru added, glancing at the large hole in the wall.

"Sengoku the Buddha, huh…"

Is thought to himself, observing the man.

He was still young—quite different from the Sengoku Is remembered.

"Activate the three types of Haki."

"Ding. Three Types of Haki activated."

"Ding. Enhanced Armament Haki obtained."

"Ding. Enhanced Observation Haki obtained."

"Ding. Enhanced Conqueror's Haki obtained."

As the system's voice faded—

A flood of new knowledge filled Is's mind.

All of it—

The usage of Haki.

"I am a Celestial Dragon. Why should I explain myself to you?"

Is spoke coldly—

And released his Conqueror's Haki.

An overwhelming pressure surged toward Sengoku.

Behind him, the Marine soldiers' eyes rolled back—

One after another, they collapsed to the ground.
