"E-Edward… what… what did you just say?"
Rocks still looked utterly unable to believe it as he questioned Whitebeard again.
"That man called Hashirama Senju… is also one of Aurelius D. Virel Is's subordinates," Whitebeard said heavily.
To be honest, Rocks was on the verge of mental collapse now.
"Aurelius D. Virel Is, Aurelius D. Virel Is, Aurelius D. Virel Is! Is this bastard never going to stop?!"
As he roared, black lightning began crackling around his body. Clearly, at this moment, his hatred toward Is had reached the bone.
After all, if not for Is, Rocks would have wiped out the Roger Pirates during the last war and retreated perfectly afterward.
But because of Is's interference, the Rocks Pirates had been completely scattered.
The once-mighty overlords of the New World had now fallen into utter disgrace.
Hearing Rocks' furious words, Whitebeard remained silent.
He leaned his naginata against a nearby tree before sitting atop a massive tree root.
Boom!
Rocks suddenly threw out a punch, instantly snapping a huge tree in half. Immediately afterward, he grabbed the broken trunk and hurled it into the distance.
"Ahhhh… even the heavens refuse to favor me, Rocks!!!"
At this point, all Rocks could do was vent the rage boiling within him.
He had been getting closer and closer to conquering the world, yet ever since Is stepped into the picture, the Rocks Pirates had been smashed back to square one.
Suddenly, Rocks seemed to remember something and looked toward Whitebeard.
"Edward."
Whitebeard lifted his gaze, the two staring directly at one another.
"What is it?"
"Do you still remember the things we saw recorded on that stone before?" Rocks asked slowly.
"You mean… the information engraved upon that Historical Poneglyph?" Whitebeard replied.
That was right.
Long ago, Rocks had once discovered an Information Poneglyph on a certain island, and someone aboard the ship had been capable of deciphering its text.
At the time, however, Rocks had not cared much about it.
He believed he could conquer the world through sheer power alone, without relying on external tools.
But given the current situation, he had no choice but to turn his attention toward it once more.
"That's right. The Information Poneglyph recorded the locations of the Three Ancient Weapons capable of destroying the world. As long as we obtain those Ancient Weapons, why should we fear Aurelius D. Virel Is? Why should we fear the Marines? Why should we fear the World Government?!" Rocks declared passionately.
Without question, the Three Ancient Weapons had reignited the dying flames within Rocks' heart.
The three legendary weapons carrying the title of "God," capable of destroying the world, were—
Pluton.
Poseidon.
Uranus.
"What you're saying is true, but the one who could read those texts has already disappeared. With only the two of us left, trying to locate the Three Ancient Weapons would be harder than reaching the heavens," Whitebeard explained.
"Leave that matter to me, Edward. You know as well as I do… seeking the Three Ancient Weapons capable of destroying the world is our only remaining path."
Rocks spoke calmly, but determination filled his eyes.
Of course, the idea itself was sound.
However, there was one fatal issue—
He had been born at the wrong time.
One of the Three Ancient Weapons, Poseidon, had not yet appeared in the world, while the Poneglyph revealing Uranus had not been discovered either.
Even if Rocks eventually located Pluton and Uranus, he would still be missing Poseidon.
The Three Ancient Weapons could never truly be assembled together.
Naturally, Rocks still knew nothing of this.
After all, he had only just begun entertaining the idea of pursuing the Ancient Weapons.
Without question, once he realized fate itself stood against him, he would fall into even deeper despair.
Meanwhile, back at the Holy Land Mary Geoise—
Is and the others had already finished breakfast.
"Saint Is, come take a look at the farewell gift I prepared for you." Saint Dofrak slowly rose to his feet, smiling as he spoke.
Is nodded.
Free gifts were free gifts.
If there truly were any he liked, accepting them would not hurt.
After all, these slaves had not yet been branded, and according to Dofrak, they were all top-tier goods.
Following Dofrak to the main entrance, Is saw exactly what he had described.
In the castle courtyard stood a group of women, around twenty in total.
Is swept his gaze across them.
Mm.
Just as Dofrak had said, most of them truly were exceptional.
Their appearances were attractive, and their figures equally outstanding.
However, the moment the female slaves saw Is, they all froze in shock.
They had assumed Is would look like Dofrak—
An ugly, obese Celestial Dragon.
Never in their wildest dreams had they expected him to be such a handsome man possessing both appearance and strength.
Instantly, their desire for Is to choose them grew even stronger.
"Tsk tsk tsk, Saint Dofrak, you really know how to play around," Is teased.
"Hehehe. To be honest, Saint Is, I prepared all of these specifically for you."
"Oh? Then you've truly put in some thought, Saint Dofrak."
"Only I truly understand you, Saint Is."
As Dofrak spoke, a strange grin spread across his face.
"You haven't touched them, right?" Is asked casually.
He had no interest in women who had already been used by someone else.
"Of course not. They're all untouched originals. I didn't even place handcuffs on them because I didn't want the slightest mark left on their bodies," Dofrak replied leisurely.
"Then I'll thank you for your kindness. I'll take them."
The moment those words fell, it was undoubtedly the greatest piece of news the female slaves had ever heard.
The massive weight crushing their hearts finally disappeared.
"As long as Saint Is likes them, that's enough for me. Then I'll be taking my leave now."
