Chapter 16 -  Sharingan! Cut Him Down!

Uchiha Inabi's words were immediately met with agreement from Uchiha Tekka and Uchiha Yashiro.

They also believed the enemy wouldn't dare advance in that direction—

Unless they had a death wish.

After all, the main Uchiha reinforcement force was gathered there.

"How many Jonin are in that 'main force'?"

Akira suddenly asked.

The question caught all three off guard.

They exchanged glances—

None of them could answer.

"What are you getting at, Akira?"

Tekka frowned.

Though deep down—

He already understood.

Akira chuckled.

"You already know the answer."

"On the battlefield, whether it's Chunin or Genin…"

"If they run into enemy Jonin, they'll be crushed without resistance."

"Let's be honest—those are just cannon fodder."

"Even if they're Uchiha."

"What nonsense are you talking about?!"

Inabi snapped, clearly displeased.

But Akira ignored him.

"Cannon fodder facing elite Jonin—only death awaits."

"So your so-called 'main force'…"

"In the eyes of Mist elites…"

"They're just lambs waiting to be slaughtered."

"Now tell me…"

"Do you still think the enemy wouldn't attack there?"

"What if it's someone like the Seven Ninja Swordsmen?"

His words left them silent.

They knew he was right.

Even within the Uchiha clan—

Many hadn't awakened the Sharingan.

And even those with a single tomoe—

Couldn't stand against seasoned Jonin.

Before they could respond—

Akira had already moved.

He headed straight in that direction.

He hadn't said all that to argue—

Only to avoid explaining his perception ability.

Soon—

The four approached the battlefield.

Even without enhanced senses—

They could already hear it.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Explosions echoed through the forest.

Not just explosive tags—

But the impact of heavy blows.

The scent of blood filled the air.

Trapped beneath the dense trees—

Turning the forest into a suffocating battlefield.

Tekka and the others' expressions darkened.

Not just because Akira was right—

But because—

The ones being slaughtered…

Were their own clansmen.

Even Tekka—

Drew his blade and rushed forward.

The four burst through the trees—

And saw hell itself.

Hundreds of ninja clashed violently.

Bodies littered the ground—

Some wounded, some dead.

More fell with every passing second.

The Mist forces clearly had the upper hand.

The Uchiha were being pushed back—

Their losses mounting rapidly.

Strangely—

Fugaku, Shisui, and the other top Uchiha were nowhere to be seen.

Tekka, Inabi, and Yashiro immediately joined the battle.

But Akira—

Did not.

He observed.

And listened.

"Juemizi!! Juemizi!!"

A man cried out, clutching the blood-soaked corpse of a woman.

Both bore the Uchiha crest.

They were clan members.

After crying out in despair—

His eyes suddenly turned red.

Chakra surged violently.

"AHHHHH—!"

He clutched his eyes, screaming in pain and rage.

Moments later—

When he opened them—

They were crimson.

A single tomoe spun within.

"…Awakened through grief."

Akira murmured.

And at that moment—

The system activated.

[Ding! You have comprehended the Three-Tomoe Sharingan!]

[Enhanced perception. Copying ability. Genjutsu. Chakra insight…]

Akira blinked.

"…Just from watching?"

"And straight to three tomoe…"

He glanced again at the grieving man—

Who had only awakened one.

The contrast was almost ironic.

At that moment—

Tekka shouted:

"What are you standing there for?! Fight!!"

Akira turned.

The battle was brutal.

Even with three Jonin—

They were still being pushed back.

The enemy had numbers—

And multiple Jonin.

"Let's test these eyes…"

Akira thought.

In the next instant—

His Body Flicker activated.

He appeared before an enemy—

Just as the man was about to strike down a Uchiha.

The enemy froze.

His blade halted mid-swing.

Because in that instant—

He saw them.

Those crimson eyes.

Three tomoe spinning.

The next second—

His expression went blank.

As if controlled—

He turned.

And struck his own ally.

Slash!

The blade pierced clean through.

The Mist ninja who had rushed in to assist—

Was caught completely off guard.

The strike landed on a vital point.

His eyes widened in disbelief—

Before he collapsed, dead.
