The night came faster than he expected.

Cold.

Watching him.

A figure appeared in the distance.
Standing under the dim light.
White dress.
Long hair.
Still… silent.
"Meera…"
Ayaan whispered.
The figure didn't move.

She wasn't smiling.
Ayaan stepped closer.
His legs shaking.
His heart breaking.
"Is it really you…?"
He asked softly.

She lifted her head.
And looked at him.
Those eyes—
They weren't the same anymore.
They were darker.
Empty.
As if something inside her…
Was gone.
Ayaan felt fear crawl through his body.
But he didn't step back.
"I came…"
He said quietly.
Suddenly—
She smiled.
But this time—
It wasn't warm.
It wasn't soft.
It was cold.
Twisted.
Wrong.
"You came back…"
She said slowly.
Her voice echoed…
Like it wasn't just hers.
Ayaan's heart sank.
"Meera… what happened to you?"
She tilted her head.
And whispered—
"I waited…"
"For you…"
The wind howled suddenly.
The lights flickered violently.
And in the next second—
She was standing right in front of him.
Too close.
Ayaan gasped.
He didn't even see her move.
Her cold fingers touched his face.
Ice cold.
"Did you miss me…?"
She whispered.
Ayaan couldn't speak.
His body refused to move.
Because now—
He understood something.
This wasn't the Meera he knew.
Something else…
Was inside her.
And it was watching him.
