Beyond Bellwood, Earth, in a vast, rarely visited, uninhabited region, a high-tech spaceship from Galvan Prime lay quietly, hidden among the desolate landscape. The ship, resembling a colossal metal fortress, radiated an aura of advanced technology and silent menace.
Inside the laboratory, Albedo was hard at work, completely absorbed in his task. His red eyes, gleaming with intellect and determination, were fixed on the watch-like red device in his hand—his newly constructed Ultimatrix. His face betrayed a mix of excitement and triumph.
"Haha… finally! After countless days and sleepless nights, I've completed this masterpiece! Only one step remains!" he muttered, pride radiating in his voice.
After nearly a month of relentless research and careful construction, Albedo had succeeded in building the Ultimatrix from scratch. Although it was an Ultimatrix, he designed its exterior to resemble the Omnitrix used by Ben Tennyson during Alien Force, purely because he found that design more aesthetically pleasing. The primary difference: the signature green accents were replaced with striking red, giving the device a fresh, powerful, and ominous visual impact, as if each line of glowing red energy contained infinite potential.
The reason it had taken almost a month was simple: Albedo built this Ultimatrix completely from scratch. Had he simply combined the stolen core with his damaged replica Omnitrix, he could have finished the device in two to three days. But he chose not to. Doing so would have left his Ultimatrix linked to Ben Tennyson's database system.
Albedo's caution was deliberate. He knew that sharing a database with Ben would risk his creation being compromised. Therefore, he created a completely new Ultimatrix core, built the Ultimatrix around it, rewrote its code, and even optimized several of its functions.
For instance, he removed the random transformations that had occasionally caused Ben trouble, ensuring his own transformations would always be precise. The Ultimatrix retained the Ultimate Evolution function, but Albedo improved it: after each transformation, the DNA of the Ultimate Alien would automatically be cleared, preventing the development of self-awareness—a flaw he had noticed in the original series.
Another critical change: this Ultimatrix no longer required any connection to the Plumbers, just like the Omnitrix in Alien Force.
With everything prepared, Albedo turned his attention to a crucial task: downloading DNA into the Ultimatrix. The firewalls and encryption layers protecting the core were formidable, but for Albedo—a genius scientist intimately familiar with Omnitrix and Ultimatrix technology—they were nothing insurmountable. After all, he had personally designed the original Omnitrix software and expansion modules, so the modified firewalls were familiar territory.
As expected, he swiftly bypassed the security layers and initiated the data transfer process. He began by manually inputting every alien DNA Ben Tennyson had used in the series. Once completed, the Ultimatrix automatically scanned and filtered additional DNA from the Plumbers' extensive database, containing over 1,000,000 samples.
Although the original Ultimatrix in canon could theoretically store a massive number of DNA sequences, Albedo's prototype was still limited—capable of holding roughly 10,000 types of DNA, more than enough for his purposes.
Carefully, he inserted the stolen Ultimatrix core into a specialized port on his supercomputer, then connected the new Ultimatrix. With everything in place, Albedo simply monitored the process, letting the Ultimatrix autonomously download and organize the DNA. Now, he could focus on perfecting his creation while the core did the work.
