While the rest of the world was buzzing with discussion, Makoto's Otherworlder-Go slowly sailed into the Sabaody Archipelago.
When that giant orange ship with the chainsaw-dog bow appeared at the port, the atmosphere on the entire island changed instantly.
The motley assortment of pirates, bounty hunters, Marine personnel, even World Government's agents… all were shaken.
"That's... the King of the World's ship!"
"What is he doing here?"
"Is he going to join the war as well?"
Murmurs spread through the crowd, but no one dared approach.
After disembarking, the group headed to the Human Auction House in Grove 1.
Many Visual Den Den Mushi had already been placed there in advance, ready to broadcast the upcoming Summit War at Marineford.
Many wealthy and powerful individuals had come here to watch the war, having paid top coin for the best seats, ready to sip red wine and enjoy the show.
But then—
The moment Makoto and his group entered, the place fell dead silent.
The capitalists in suits and ties, the Celestial Dragons in bubbles, the wealthy nobles… all turned pale, their wine glasses nearly slipping from their hands.
Many nobles trembled inside, wondering if they should run.
Some others saw an opportunity, hoping to go and offer greetings, to curry favor with the King of the World.
"Your Majesty, the King of the World, I am—" A greasy, fat middle-aged man stood up, a sycophantic smile plastered on his face as he walked toward Makoto.
But before he could finish—
"Too many people," Makoto said lightly.
At these words, Yu, Four Gay Bros, Beam, and Miyuki moved directly.
A massacre began.
Before arriving, Makoto had already said… everyone sitting here was no good.
So they had no qualms about making their move.
Even if there were innocents among them, with the level of loyalty Yu, Beam, and the others felt toward Makoto, they wouldn't hesitate.
Rat-tat-tat-tat—!
Yu's right arm transformed into a machine gun, armor-piercing rounds pouring down like a storm.
Each bullet precisely pierced a head, blood and brains splattering onto the red seats.
Beam pressed his palms together, Fish-Man Karate: Water Shot.
Water droplets shot out like bullets, blooming into blood flowers among the crowd.
Four Gay Bros launched directly. The Teddy Devil grabbed a Celestial Dragon by the neck and twisted it like a chicken's.
The Dolphin Devil's sonic attack caused a group of nobles to bleed from their seven orifices.
The Gorilla Devil grabbed an oligarch in each hand and smashed their heads together like walnuts.
The Rabbit Devil darted through the crowd at high speed, each step taking a life.
Miyuki demonstrated the abilities of his newly acquired Sand-Sand Fruit.
His hands turned into sand and he gave a gentle wave.
Several old capitalists were instantly desiccated into mummies, their skin shriveled against their skeletons like thousand-year-old corpses.
"Ah—!"
"Help—!"
"Don't kill me—!"
Panicked screams erupted one after another.
Those nobles, so haughty just moments ago, now fled in all directions like startled rabbits, but none could escape.
Within minutes, the auction house turned into a bloodbath.
Chika, holding her kanabo, pouted at Makoto and complained, "Makoto-kun, don't make such a mess here! We still have to watch the broadcast here later!"
Makoto smiled. "Don't worry. There's still time before it starts."
As soon as he finished speaking, Yu and the others had already killed everyone present.
The last capitalist fell into a pool of blood, twitched twice, then lay still.
Yu retracted his gun barrel, clapped his hands, and called out to the backstage, "Come out and clean up!"
The auction house staff had long since gone weak in the knees from fear. Hearing the call, how could they dare to delay?
They forced themselves to suppress their terror, grabbed mops, buckets, rags, and other cleaning tools, and rushed out.
Heads bowed, bodies trembling, they silently cleaned the blood, flesh, and scattered remains.
Under Four Gay Bros's threats, the auction house manager, Disco, quickly brought out the Visual Den Den Mushi.
"Ki... King of the World..." He bowed, his voice trembling. "I am a subordinate of Donquixote Doflamingo-sama... we're of the same side..."
"Same side?" A cold voice came from beside him.
Disco turned and saw a pink-haired girl staring at him.
Rebecca.
Her eyes were blazing with rage, her sword already drawn.
Shing—
A flash of blade light.
Disco's head flew into the air, his eyes wide, his mouth opening and closing as if he still hadn't realized what had happened.
Then, with a 'plop', it hit the ground and rolled a few times.
Blood spurted from his neck, splattering onto the freshly cleaned floor.
"What are you doing?" Nayuta frowned. "We just cleaned that."
Rebecca quickly apologized: "I'm sorry! I got carried away..."
Rebecca had been on Makoto's ship for a year, so she naturally knew who held the highest status there besides Makoto.
Hearing the name 'Doflamingo' simply made it hard for her to stay calm.
Ai stepped forward and placed her right hand on Disco's corpse.
Black mist poured from her palm, engulfing the corpse, sucking it into her dark space, and instantly crushing it.
Not a single drop of blood remained.
Rebecca thanked her, and Ai just waved it off. "No problem."
Ai pressed the switch on the back of the Visual Den Den Mushi on the stage.
Click.
The Den Den Mushi's eyes opened, projecting a huge light screen.
On the screen was none other than Marine Headquarters… Marineford.
Just as in the original version, the Marine's 100,000 elite soldiers had already assembled, packing the crescent-shaped bay of Marineford.
Their white uniforms formed a solid expanse in the sunlight, like an ocean of white.
At the very front of the bay, the Seven Warlords stood in a line.
Dracule Mihawk, Hanafuda, Gecko Moria, Donquixote Doflamingo, Edward Weevil, Blackbeard… the six stood apart, each with a different expression.
Further back, the three Admirals sat on a high platform.
However, what drew Makoto's attention most was the group standing directly beneath the execution platform.
The God's Knights.
At their head was a middle-aged man with red hair tied in a braid, his face firm, his eyes sharp as an eagle.
He wore dark knight's attire, a long sword at his waist.
Figarland Shamrock.
"Even the God's Knights can't sit still," Makoto said, leaning back in his chair, the corners of his mouth turning up. "Shamrock must want to clean up his little brother quite a bit, too, right?"
Kalifa stood behind Makoto, hesitated, and then asked quietly, "Commander, are we going to join the war?"
Ever since the World Government had decided to begin an all-out war with the Revolutionary Army, the Five Elders had been constantly urging her to find out Makoto's thoughts on this war.
If this man were to get involved, it would be a problem.
Makoto glanced at this bespectacled older woman but did not answer.
To be honest, it was rather surprising that CP9 remained so loyal to the World Government even after all this.
But it wasn't unexpected.
Even in the original work, after they lost to Luffy at Enies Lobby and the World Government tried to kill them, they still went crawling back two years later to continue being the World Government's dogs.
It's not easy to be such a bootlicker.
