Just then, many Observation Haki users changed expression and abruptly looked up.
With a sudden gust of wind, the Marine coats behind the soldiers below billowed noisily. Many weaker soldiers were blown into the air like leaves tossed by an invisible giant hand.
Then, a massive water spout suddenly rose on the horizon, rushing toward them like a curtain.
The water spout was over a hundred meters high, like a giant serpent rising from the seabed, carrying tens of thousands of tons of seawater, spinning, roaring, tearing through the air with a deafening rumble.
"Is that a tsunami? A tsunami caused by the wind," Moria, one of the Seven Warlords, narrowed his eyes, then looking at the top of the tsunami, shouted, "There are ships up there!"
Everyone looked closely.
At the top of that enormous tsunami, two ships rode the wave crests like surfers.
The ships tilted perilously on the crests but advanced steadily with the giant waves, as if held up by invisible hands.
Many recognized them immediately… the Red Hair Pirates' ship, the Red Force, and the Revolutionary Army's ship, the Wind Granma.
Behind them, many more ships bearing the Revolutionary Army's flag followed densely behind, like locusts sweeping across the sky, riding at the top of the giant wave as it surged toward Marineford.
Sengoku shouted, "Are they going to use that to fly over?"
Many of the strategic minds understood… the Revolutionary Army and Red Hair Pirates were using the tsunami to fly directly into the bay.
Watching this on the screen, Makoto couldn't help but laugh.
In the original work, Whitebeard had coated his Moby Dick with a membrane and then used it to dive underwater to infiltrate the bay.
The Sweat King used the opposite method… using his Devil Fruit power to raise a giant wave and fly over.
One via underground, one via the sky.
If this move succeeded, it could drown over half of Marineford's forces.
Garp, standing below the execution platform, also smiled.
"That kid Dragon, he sure starts with a bang."
Hearing Garp's laughter, Akainu and the others glanced at him.
'Why was he so happy? He's definitely a spy, right?'
Watching the hundreds-meter-high wave approach, the Marine soldiers in the square showed expressions of terror.
If that thing came down, it was no joke.
"Ara ara~ That won't do," Aokiji, the leftmost of the three Admirals, suddenly let out his signature lazy complaint, leaped up, and vanished into thin air.
"Ice Age!"
Aokiji murmured, suddenly throwing his hands out. Two pillars of ice shot from his hands like laser beams, striking the huge tsunami hundreds of meters high.
The moment the ice pillars touched the seawater, the cold spread wildly at a visible rate.
The seawater began freezing from the top of the wave, the ice layer spreading downward rapidly with a crunching, crackling sound.
Within seconds, the entire giant wave was frozen into a towering iceberg, reflecting piercing cold light in the sun.
The Marine's morale soared, and everyone cheered Aokiji's name.
"Admiral Aokiji! Admiral Aokiji! Admiral Aokiji!"
However, before the Marine could celebrate for long, a woman's cold voice suddenly came from the side.
"Water Release: Great Waterfall Technique!"
Everyone's expression changed as they looked to the side. A middle-aged woman, around fifty years old with noticeable wrinkles on her face, stood on the sea surface to the side of Marineford, her hands rapidly forming hand signs.
Her fingers moved like a butterfly, the afterimages merging into a blur… a speed of hand seals that surpassed that of ordinary Ninjas.
Instantly, violent waves surged from the side again, attacking Marineford.
Those waves were even higher and fiercer than the ones in front, like a moving water wall, blocking out half the sky.
The seawater shimmered with a dark blue under the sun, as if ready to devour all of Marineford.
"It's Yukino-chan!" Yui exclaimed in shock.
"She's gotten so old..." Miura Yumiko sighed.
As she said this, she couldn't help but glance at Yukino's mother, Mrs. Yukinoshita.
It seemed that if these two stood together, it would be hard to tell who was the mother and who was the daughter.
Mrs. Yuigahama smiled wryly. "There's no helping it. After all, Yukino spent twenty more years here than we did."
Even so, Mrs. Yukinoshita and Yukino were both 50 years old in this world.
But Mrs. Yukinoshita looked significantly younger, with far fewer wrinkles on her face.
But that wasn't surprising either.
After coming to the pirate world, Mrs. Yukinoshita had been under Makoto's protection, using facial masks every day and basically never participating in battles.
Yukino, on the other hand, had spent the twenty years since Makoto's time-skip working hard within the Revolutionary Army, probably not having time for skincare, so she naturally looked older.
Makoto commented, "She's improved."
Although the One Piece World was undoubtedly a stage for Water Release Ninjutsu, with Water Release being Yukino's specialty, the fact that she could achieve such power meant she certainly hadn't slacked off in those twenty years.
Seeing the tsunami surging from the side, Sengoku's expression changed dramatically, and he shouted, "Was the frontal assault just a decoy?"
They knew that Yukino, the West Army Commander of the Revolutionary Army, and her sister Haruno, had the ability to walk on water.
But he hadn't expected that the frontal assaults by Dragon and Shanks were both decoys, with the real point being Yukino infiltrating from the side.
Aokiji's expression also changed at the sight. He quickly turned, wanting to stop the second tsunami.
But it was too late.
Just then, Dragon, the [Sweat King] who had barely made a move in the original work, took action himself.
His right hand formed a dragon claw gesture and was coated in Armament Haki. He growled, "Dragon Claw Fist!"
He attacked Aokiji.
Dragon's techniques were very similar to Sabo's.
That wasn't surprising, since all the fighting skills Sabo had learned were taught by Dragon.
With one punch, the air was compressed into a tangible shockwave, carrying the force to tear through everything as it blasted toward Aokiji.
Boom—!
Aokiji was knocked from the air, landing on the frozen sea below. The ice shattered, and seawater churned.
He couldn't stop Yukino in time.
Seeing the tsunami from the side about to engulf Marineford—
"Damned bastards!"
Akainu roared, pulling the sword from his waist.
The blade was pitch black, coated in Armament Haki, radiating a suffocating pressure.
He gripped the sword with both hands, raised it high, and then—
Brought it down.
Boom—!
A world-shaking blade pressure erupted from the sword, like a black dragon roaring toward the tsunami.
Where the blade pressure passed, the air was torn apart with a sharp whine.
The tsunami was split in two down the middle, the cut neat as a mirror.
Akainu didn't stop.
He slashed multiple times, one after another, like lightning.
The tsunami was divided into countless pieces, like a sliced cake.
Giant blocks of water fell from the sky, hitting the ground with a dull thunder.
The Vice Admirals all acted, using Rankyaku and Shigan to break the water blocks into fine droplets.
Instantly, Marinesford seemed to be hit by a rainstorm.
Rain washed over the white uniforms, over everyone's faces.
Though it made many Devil Fruit users feel a sense of powerlessness, it was much better than being directly swallowed by the tsunami.
"Move!"
Dragon, back on his ship, shouted.
Fwump! Fwump! Fwump!
A strange pressing sound suddenly echoed.
The ships of the Red Hair Pirates and the Revolutionary Army suddenly shot into the sky, flying toward the square of Marineford.
Each ship was wrapped in a translucent, paw-print-shaped balloon, as if held aloft by an invisible giant hand, arcing through the air straight toward the execution platform.
This sight left Yu, Kei, Chika, Hancock, and others watching in front of the Visual Den Den Mushi stunned.
Most of them were seeing this ability for the first time.
"What is that?" Nami asked in shock.
Even Makoto's eyes showed a trace of surprise.
Seeing the translucent paw-print balloons wrapped around the ships, he paused.
'Wasn't that the power of the Paw-Paw Fruit?'
'But hadn't Bartholomew Kuma, that unlucky bastard, already died?'
'Then who activated this ability?'
