Chapter 506 - Chapter 506 Sakura Regrets It For Life

Makoto's words fell on the ears of reanimated Rin, Kakashi, and the others like a bucket of cold water poured onto a freshly lit brazier.

Kakashi's eyebrow twitched. He opened his mouth, a bit at a loss for words: "Th-there's no need for that... Obito is already in this state..."

Makoto glanced at him and couldn't help but find it amusing.

'It wasn't your parents he killed, so of course you don't care.'

Makoto withdrew his gaze and remembered Naruto's attitude towards Obito in the original work. That blond kid, after learning what Obito had done, could still utter that classic, timeless line.

One could only say that everyone in this world had a few screws loose.

But fortunately, there were still normal people.

Konan came from the crowd to stand in front of Obito, her face full of undisguised disgust.

"Indeed, letting him go to that world like this is far too easy on him. But now, is there anything that can make him suffer? He's already a dying man..."

The image of Nagato dying at Obito's hands to cover her escape still surfaced in Konan's dreams from time to time.

She wished Obito would die as miserably as possible.

But the problem was, Obito was already dying.

Would physical torture even do anything to him?

For someone who had already endured the Ten-Tails being forcibly extracted from his body, no matter how much you tortured him physically, it probably wouldn't mean much.

The people of Kirigakure, led by Mei, felt the same way.

They also wanted Obito to die more painfully, but they couldn't think of any way.

Makoto blinked, pinching his chin in thought.

Just then, an aged voice came from the outskirts of the crowd.

"Excuse me... could that Limited Tsukuyomi also be used on my grandson?"

Everyone turned to look. It was a short, elderly woman.

The elder of Sunagakure... Chiyo.

Following her gaze, among the prisoners of the government forces, Sasori was being held by the government troops led by Kankuro.

Much of his body had been shattered in battle, revealing a puppet body that sent shivers down the spines of those who saw it.

Noticing the gazes directed at him, those hollow eyes moved slightly.

Chiyo let out a long sigh and said: "That child... ever since his parents died, he has been living in the past."

She recalled the scene from his childhood when Sasori created puppets of his parents and controlled them to hug him.

That was an image that Chiyo could never forget for the rest of her life.

Makoto looked at Sasori.

Come to think of it, this person's experience was somewhat similar to Sasuke's, though the circumstances weren't as complicated. Sasori's parents had both died normally on the battlefield. But like Sasuke, he was forever living in the past.

"What price can you pay?"

Makoto asked.

Chiyo was stunned for a second, then said resolutely: "Anything."

Makoto nodded with satisfaction, raised his hand, and pointed at reanimated Rin standing beside Obito.

"Revive her."

Reanimated Rin's eyes widened in shock.

She had no idea why Makoto, who had spoken less than ten sentences to her in total, would do this.

Was this a pie falling from the sky?

Others also looked at Chiyo in astonishment.

'This unassuming elderly woman, did she actually master a technique to revive people?'

Chiyo did not hesitate. She walked to reanimated Rin, had her sit down, then went behind her, sat cross-legged on the ground, and pressed her hands against reanimated Rin's back, like a martial arts master imparting inner strength.

Rin's originally pale face gradually regained the rosy complexion of a living person.

Rin's eyelashes fluttered as she felt the changes in her body.

She could feel her heart beating.

Obito, lying on the ground, his breath noticeably quickening.

'Truly, truly revived?'

'Could Rin still go with me?'

Makoto looked at the gradually despairing Obito with a smile. "You can go to hell alone. You can stay in that world and watch your goddess be with the person she likes..."

Obito, who had been utterly content just a minute ago, now had his heart broken. He struggled to prop up his upper body from the ground, his eyes spitting fire as he stared at Kakashi.

"Kakashi—! I curse you!!"

As a former teammate, he of course knew about the little feelings Rin had for Kakashi.

And he could imagine what would happen between those two after he died.

Kakashi stood there, looking at Obito's expression as if he wanted to eat his raw flesh, looking completely innocent.

'What does this have to do with me?'

"Um... Commander, Rin and I are just friends. Please don't misunderstand. Obito knew that too, didn't he?"

Back when Obito had died, Rin had tried to confess her feelings to Kakashi, and she had been rejected at that time.

Even now, with Nohara Rin revived more than a decade later, Kakashi's attitude remained unchanged.

Nohara Rin, whose face had just regained a bit of color, immediately paled.

Makoto was speechless.

'I gave you an opportunity and you didn't take it.'

Makoto thought for a moment, then looked at Rin. "Emmm... then would you like to come work for me as a maid?"

Rin, who had just been looking so disappointed, was stunned at first, then after a moment of thought, nodded.

"Th-then, please take care of me."

There weren't many people she knew in this world anymore. Kakashi was much older than her, so there would surely be a generation gap. Moreover, he had just rejected her, so Rin would naturally keep her distance instinctively.

After all, she wasn't some female simp, shamelessly throwing herself at him after being rejected twice.

Emmm... one could only say that Rin was no Sakura... her skin wasn't thick enough.

What were two rejections? That other one had almost been killed twice and still went right back to simping.

She was originally a war orphan. After being revived, she had no home either.

Since Makoto was willing to take her in, she had no reason to refuse.

Makoto smiled and waved at Obito.

"Then go on your way alone, Obito."

As he spoke, he placed his hand on Rin's head, flashing the same smile as the usual blond bastard in NTR doujin.

"I'll take good care of her for you."

Obito, in deep anguish, raised his hand and reached desperately towards Rin. "Rin! Rin! Don't leave me! Don't leave me!"

But Rin did not take that hand. Watching Obito's hand grasping at the air, a trace of sympathy did flash in her eyes.

But the thing was, she had already died once. Now that she was finally revived, she couldn't very well die again for the King of Scum, could she?

Moreover, after learning about the things Obito had done, her opinion of him had indeed changed considerably.

Finally, Obito's hand fell from mid-air.

His eyes were still open, but his pupils had begun to blur.

Konan couldn't help but give Makoto a thumbs-up.

"Impressive."

Now that was truly killing a man's spirit.

Makoto smiled faintly, then told Kankuro, who was guarding Sasori, to bring him over.

Sasori did not struggle either. He had heard the conversation between Chiyo and Makoto.

And just as Makoto was about to activate the Limited Tsukuyomi, Sasori spoke again: "Could you give me a little more time to bury my grandmother?"

Makoto was speechless, 'Just now? When your grandmother was alive, why didn't you say anything to her then?'

Many people in his past life were like this. They didn't spend time with their loved ones when they were alive, but after they died, they were full of regret.

Sasori did not answer.

He just began to dig a hole with his hands.

Half an hour later, he placed Chiyo's body into the hole, covered it with soil, knelt in front of the grave, bowed his head, and said nothing.

Makoto walked over to him. The Rinne Sharingan in his left eye began to spin.

Soon, Sasori fell into a deep sleep, just like the other two.

Sakura looked at the peaceful, satisfied smile on Sasori's sleeping face. Something seemed to occur to her. She took a deep breath and stepped forward.

"Commander, please send me to the same world as Naruto and Sasuke."

Before Makoto could speak, Yu had already stepped forward. "What benefits can you give?"

Sakura was stunned.

Yu raised his finger and swept it over the three sleeping individuals.

Sasuke gave up his Rinnegan. Naruto gave up the Nine-Tails. Sasori's grandmother helped revive Rin.

After saying this, Yu stared intently at Sakura.

"What can you give?"

In his opinion, his Senpai had already been far too kind to these people.

He gave them whatever they asked for, causing these riffraff to develop unwarranted fantasies.

They should take a look at themselves. What were they? Coming to curry favor and ask for handouts?

Sakura stood there, unable to utter a single word.

Upon reflection, she really had nothing to offer in exchange.

After all, not everyone was like Naruto, granting her every request.

Just then, a long-unheard voice sounded in the ears of Makoto and his group:

[Congratulations to the player for clearing the dungeon: Unified Ninja World, defeated Otsutsuki Kaguya.]

[Congratulations to the player for fully clearing the dungeon world: Ninja World.]

[MVP recipient: Nishikawa Makoto]

Hearing this voice, the players knew it was time to go back.

Makoto turned around and raised an eyebrow at Kakashi.

"I'm leaving the village to you, Sixth Hokage."

Kakashi, who hadn't yet come to his senses from Obito's dying curses, was startled.

'Wha, what? What's going on? How was I the Sixth Hokage?'

But before Kakashi and the others could speak, Makoto grabbed Tsunade's wrist with one hand and wrapped the other arm around Hinata's waist.

A white light surged from his body, enveloping him and the many women around him.

Saeko, Alice, the Aizono sisters, the Nakano quintuplets, Megumi, Utaha, Mai, Marin, Momoi... Pillars of light shot into the sky one after another, then vanished without a trace.

Guy looked at the empty battlefield and asked incredulously: "Was that some kind of teleportation technique?"

Genma walked up from behind the crowd, taking out a new senbon to be put in his mouth. "Regardless, the war is over. Let's go back to Konoha first. There's still a lot of work to do."

Kakashi nodded. He bent down, picked Naruto up from the ground, and put him on his back.

He then turned, lifted Sasuke from the sandy ground, and held him cradled in his arms.

Finally, Kakashi looked at the only remaining member of Team 7, Haruno Sakura, and barely managed a smile. "Sakura, let's go back."

Sakura looked at Naruto and Sasuke, who were sleeping soundly with satisfied smiles, and was silent for a long time.

Tears fell from her eyes, hitting the sand.

Finally, she nodded.

"Mm."
