Ryun watched men train with his father by his side. " You know your mother would really love it if you took those girls she chose for you seriously. " his father said ,"You did hear about the one I saved ?"he changed the subject like that. "Nice , yes Joeng clan descendant is she not ?"his father then turned to face him. "She is , how would you describe attraction?"he asked his father, the old man raised his brows since his son has never dare ask him about such things that required emotions .
"Attraction would be simply how they make you feel , where as pity is doing things that you think they can't ."he said in the most simplest way ,"You never supported females standing on thier own . I would like my partner to do whatever they want. "Ryun said sighing in the end. " I do not pity her. I just want to make things easy for her while she knows that things are hard. But she's already lead a hard life so nothing came easy for her ev-"
His eyes wondered to Akia walking behind his mother and her personal maids . She wore a white dress today ,matching her hair and her green eyes more prominent and eye catching . His father looked at where his son was looking at ,to only see the women he saved and is now his trained sorcerer. He smiled softly, " She is beautiful is she ?"his father said and Ryun nodded his head.
"She is."he said calmly. His father smiled seeing who his son had already chosen and deciding on not meddling in it , love like that doesn't need anyone to interfere or else balance will break loose the only thing to find out now was if she felt the same way . After spending time with his father , Eyun and Theodore went for some more tax invasion hunting in the city. But Ryun's mind kept on trailing back to Akia . "Greta and Silas seem to be getting along very well ,however I can't say for Silas getting along with Akia. Should we change the pair?"Theodore asked Ryun who nodded his head while living in his head.
"Can you hear me ?"Theodore patted his friends arm and instinctively Ryun drew out his sword. Theodore stood back hands in the air , "You were in your head. I asked you something."he said softly awkwardly chuckling in the end while rubbing his neck . Ryun's eyes turned blood red, he then touched his sword with his own fire power, He lunged straight behind Theodore and an arrow came flying to him. Theodore sensing this danger he blended with the stones next to him and appeared behind the attacker while, Ryun fought with three black masked attackers . One of them fled ,he followed behind them , this wasn't even an abandoned street.
He followed the one who fled ,catching up to him ,Ryun shot fire balls at his knees and he was subdued for a while but the attacker stood up and shot cold ice at Ryun who dodged while Theodore skillfully killed the remaining with ease. "Any last words ?"he said and they killed themselves. Ryun caught him at last before he could talk his skin turned to ice and he only intensified his fire abilities on him. He removed his mask and read the symbol on his forehead ,he knew that symbol all too well. A witches doing , he slit the men's throat and burn the body .
By the time Theodore caught up with him , Ryun's mood was far from tolerated . "I want you to slaughter every remaining witch in this town and make sure all the ones with symbols burn to dust. " his voice cold,distant. "Witches helped us -"
"Who is your KING?!!"he said standing tall over Theodore who nodded his head.
"You are , but -"
"Say but one more fucking time ,you'll be just like the one I burnt to ashes."Ryun cut off Theodore who ended up nodding his head and sending a signal back to the kingdom grounds so soldiers could start with the execution Ryun ordered.
"That symbol shows a war is coming for my people and you of all people should know this."he said burning the other bodies to ashes. Theodore listened in silence , he knew what the symbol meant but to him doing the massacre now wiukd only alert the witches and make them work faster with their scheme ,however Ryun had other plans, he wanted them to show thier moves some could see what he was dealing with. Hence when they arrived back at the kingdom ,he quickly pushed Silas across a wall making the poor witch cough blood .
Akia could only be held back by Greta . "You knew your little friends were uo to something didn't you ?"he questioned Silas who shook his head but Ryun looked deep into his soul,Silas started sweating cause he knew what Ryun was attempting to do. Burn his soul while he was alive, he struggled until Akia spoke up. " Let him talk please. " she said softly, "You have no business with witch affairs -"
"But he has something to say ."she cut him off ,holding him by his shoulder. Her hand felt tiny on his shoulder and if he were a true beast then she'd be mocking him if she ever tried to comfort him , he loosened his grip and his eyes returned to their original color.
Silas sucked in air like he was deprived of it , Ryun only burnt half of his soul , he would be fine but now his soul belonged to Ryun .
For the first time in his life he felt grateful to a blind girl , "Talk before I send you to hell."Ryun orderd and Silas sang like a flute. " Witches originally planned to do this after three red moons passed but somehow someone must've sped up the ritual so they tried to attack you to see if they could control your power. We'll they wanted a drop of your blood which I'm guessing they didnt get. And I kind of told them that there is a Joeng descendant so they were planning on sacrificing her too..."
