"Come, follow me. I am going to make sure the life I gave you is put to good use."
Shelly's legs followed her mother to the room she was leading her to. The surroundings around her also changed rapidly, looking different in an instant.
It did not take long for her mother to open the door to the experiment room and usher Shelly in.
"Come inside and make yourself at home. I am not sure how long this will take, but since these are your final few minutes being alive, you might as well enjoy them."
Karina told Shelly while patting the bed for her to sit on.
Shelly's body followed that silent command, and Karina quickly headed toward the back to prepare all the instruments she needed.
"Ah, do you have any questions before we begin? I can allow you that much freedom as my daughter. So go ahead! Ask what you need to ask me."
Karina gave Shelly the permission she needed, and Shelly took a deep breath before deciding to ask the question that had been bothering her for a while.
