(standing in the middle of school stairs) Finally, school starts again. Smell of school is surreal.
My best friend from the back 'Iris! girl I've got a lot to say . You know what happened this weekend...
My best friend Paige. I've known her from grade four she knows almost ever secret of mine. I find her really cool about how straight forward and confident she is about everything. I have spend 6 years of school here. This place holds so many memories and will be holding so many more. I've small group of friends whom I can truly rely on.
This was about my friends but my main concern right now is Demir my boy friend. even while walking down the stairs to the classroom my eyes are searching just for him. It's been a week that he hasn't call or text me. He was good a week before. The last time we talked about was going to school together, he even said okay and after that he is not replying ... I've got a lot of questions but he is not here to answer it yet. He is so dead this time.
I didn't realize I was zoned up until she shook me with her hands on the shoulder 'Are you even listening to me. What's wrong with you. It's the first day of school, cheer up my sunflower. She looks excited and I didn't wanted to ruin that...
'No, i was just thinking something.' we put bags on our seat.
'I know what you are thinking'- Bia with her full detective face
'Oh really and what is that' I know she was playing an act. So I get along.
'Who else that can be other than Demir. Am I right?' Her face directly went from detective to funny, cute Bia.
'No, you were the one I was thinking of. ' I give her a flying kiss with a flirty way.
'Don't act smart when you're not. You're hiding something from us. I'm noticing you from start. You were not listening to me when I was talking to you earlier.'- Paige folds her arms and speaks to me straight forward, how she has always been and I definitely can't hide anything from her.
'It's nothing like that..... It's just i haven't seen him today'

(school bell rings. it's time for assembly.)
We're all lined up in assembly. I'm focused on Demir's class line and he is no where to be found. Is he absent today.. I would have seen him in school bus if he had come, as both of us have same school bus but since, it's his senior year he has to be in school by 7 so, I thought he came early today.
After the assembly we went back to class 'Is he absent today? Didn't he tell you about this?' - Bia
'He didn't, let's not talk about him today. I'm pissed'
Class begins . After 1st period Teacher wang-'Okay student's you have a bad news today- there will be shuffling of students so that you'll be more attentive in class and make new friends. No request will be accepted. so, don't even bother too.'
What he is changing our class. Hope he don't change me and Paige. It's not that I don't have other friends but we have been together for 6 years and I don't want to be in another class without her. It's not just her, I don't want to leave any of my friends.
Teacher-' I'll take name of student's and they will come with me in another class. Diana, Steve, mike, Javier, Paige.'
NOO, Paige hugged me as she didn't wanted to be in another class and I still can't believe teacher just changed Paige's class. We all requested to not let her be in other class to teacher wang but he was definitely not listening to anything. Now I don't know how this year in school is going to end. New people join our class too. New people as in students from other classes as I don't know them except for their names. Thank god Bia and Abby is still in the same class as me. How will my girl Paige survive in the other class. But she is very cool and get's along with everyone. She will definitely be good there too.
After straight 2 hour class finally it's time for lunch and finally Paige is back with her OG group. We had lunch together and watched basketball match.
'Samuel is literally so hot while he plays basketball'-Paige looks at him like he is a desert.
'True'- everyone in group agrees.
While everyone's busy watching basket ball here I'm messaging Demir but he's not replying to any of my text . Is he in any trouble? , cause he has never done this before. Should I call him? , but he should be the one calling me not me. My mind is still on Demir so, I shift my focus from Demir to basketball.'
After the final bell I took my snacks and lead my way to bus.
Paige, Demir and I go back in same school bus as we live in same area.
I miss Demir being in his fixed seat at the last row in the right side window while me and Paige sitting in 2nd last row left window side. From there I could see the wind, an unseen sculptor, weaves through his strands, each hair a dark, silken thread flowing and a music that nobody hear except for me. Okay, that's little dramatic I know he'll be here tomorrow.(I speak to myself in my mind) But what if he doesn't...
Paige- Do you know there is this one guy in another class and I think he likes me.
'What really? how did you know that?' I have never heard Paige talking to me about a guy. 'It sound interesting, tell me everything from the start.'
'I mean he was starring at me and he was shy talking to me.-Paige
He was starring at you and you were doing the same. You think he likes you or you like him too? I make fun of her. We reached our stop she wanted to gossip more at her place for sometime but I couldn't get Demir out of head, so I walked home.
Next morning-
I've tried 100 times from yesterday and he still doesn't pick up my call neither he replies my messages.
Mom screams from the kitchen- It's already 7:10 you'll miss your bus.
I eat my breakfast in hurry and leave.
In the bus-
I speak to Paige about what's happening 'Paige he hasn't answer my phone call neither my messages and it's been more than a week. I don't know what to figure out at this moment. I don't even know where he is at this point. Now are we broken up or what? '
She is furious. 'I had a feeling you were hiding something from us and something was going on in your head. Why didn't you tell me this earlier. I thought he was just absent yesterday. Let's go, to his class and ask his friends.'
We reach school. She holds my hand and take big fast steps to Demir's class , like a hero. I love how she is but at the same time I'm scared to take every step. What if he doesn't want to be with me anymore. It's been 5 years and I loved him since junior school or what if something happened to him... We reached his class ask Norway about him.)
Norway- Demir's already left school. He transferred to another school. Didn't you knew about that. I thought he told you.
It's worse than anything. I take a turn without a word, pull Paige to our class as I didn't wanted to stay and there any longer. He didn't even had courage to say a goodbye. How could he do that to me. how? I'm telling my self, I'll not cry but the tear drops continuously. I'm trying to put my self together but all the memories are the only thing I visual of right now.
