Chapter 1 - The World That Was Too Good

The world ended on a peaceful day.

There were no wars.

No famine.

No crime.

No suffering.

It was a perfect world.

And that was exactly why it deserved to be destroyed.

Mo Wudao stood at the top of the white stone temple, looking down at the city below. People were smiling. Children were playing. Priests were preaching about kindness and sacrifice. Golden statues of the Heavenly Gods shone under the sunlight, radiating holy light across the land.

Anyone who saw this scene would call it paradise.

Mo Wudao called it a prison.

A gentle wind moved his long black hair as he watched the people below like a man watching ants. His eyes were calm, emotionless, as if he did not belong to this world.

A young priest slowly walked up the stairs behind him.

"Wudao," the priest said softly. "The ceremony is about to begin. Today, the Heaven's Envoy will descend. This is a once-in-a-thousand-years event. All the chosen must be present."

Mo Wudao did not turn around.

Instead, he asked a question.

"Tell me," he said, "why do people cultivate?"

The priest was slightly surprised but answered with a smile, like he had answered this question many times before.

"To become stronger. To protect the weak. To serve Heaven. To maintain peace in the world."

Mo Wudao nodded slowly.

"Then tell me," he asked again, "if the world is already at peace… why do we need strength?"

The priest opened his mouth, but no words came out.

Mo Wudao turned around for the first time. His face was handsome, but his eyes… his eyes were terrifyingly calm. Not cold. Not angry. Just calm. Like a deep ocean that could swallow everything.

"If there is no war, strength has no meaning," Mo Wudao said.

"If there is no pain, happiness has no meaning."

"If there is no death, life has no meaning."

He walked past the priest slowly.

"A world that has only 'good'… is a dead world."

The Ceremony

The central plaza was filled with thousands of people. In the sky, a massive golden gate slowly opened, and holy light poured down like a waterfall from heaven.

Everyone kneeled.

"THE HEAVEN'S ENVOY HAS DESCENDED!"

A giant figure made of golden light appeared in the sky. It had six wings and held a staff that looked like it was made from the sun itself.

Its voice echoed across the entire world.

"This world has been peaceful for 10,000 years. There has been no war, no hatred, no large-scale sin. This world has been judged as a Model World."

The crowd erupted into cheers. Many people were crying from happiness.

But Mo Wudao was not smiling.

He was thinking.

Model World.

He had heard this term once before, in an ancient forbidden book.

A Model World was not a reward.

It was a farm.

The Heaven's Envoy continued speaking.

"To maintain universal balance, all Model Worlds must be cleansed and recycled. Your world has completed its purpose."

The cheering slowly stopped.

People looked at each other, confused.

"Cleansed?" someone shouted. "What does that mean?"

The Heaven's Envoy raised its staff.

"Your world has produced too much Light Energy and not enough Dark Energy. The balance of the universe must be maintained. Therefore…"

It paused.

Then it spoke the words that destroyed the world.

"This world will now be erased."

The Truth

People screamed.

Kings begged.

Priests prayed.

Children cried.

But the Heaven's Envoy did not even look at them.

To it, this was not genocide.

This was maintenance.

Mo Wudao stood in the crowd, looking up at the giant being of light. And for the first time in his life…

He smiled.

So this was the truth.

Good people go to heaven?

Kindness is rewarded?

Evil is punished?

No.

That was just a system.

A system designed to farm energy.

Good created Light Energy.

Evil created Dark Energy.

Heaven needed both.

But this world had too much good… so it became useless.

So Heaven decided to delete it.

It was not justice.

It was not evil.

It was management.

Mo Wudao started laughing quietly.

The people around him looked at him like he was crazy.

"Why are you laughing?!" a man shouted. "We're all going to die!"

Mo Wudao looked at the sky and said something that no one there would ever forget.

"I am laughing… because I finally understand how the universe works."

The Heaven's Envoy noticed him.

"You do not seem afraid," the envoy said.

Mo Wudao shook his head.

"No," he replied calmly. "I am grateful."

"Grateful?" the envoy asked.

"Yes," Mo Wudao said. "You answered a question I had since I was a child."

"And what question was that?" the envoy asked.

Mo Wudao looked directly at the giant being and said:

"If good people are rewarded… then why does the world feel like a cage?"

The Heaven's Envoy said nothing.

Mo Wudao continued speaking, his voice calm, like he was discussing the weather.

"Today I learned something very interesting."

"Good and Evil are not moral truths."

"They are resources."

"And you… are just farmers."

The entire world went silent.

Even the Heaven's Envoy stopped moving.

"That knowledge is forbidden," the envoy said coldly.

Mo Wudao smiled.

"Then I have one more question."

"If the universe needs Evil to exist…"

"What would happen… if someone controlled all the Evil?"

For the first time, the Heaven's Envoy felt something was wrong.

"State your name," the envoy commanded.

Mo Wudao turned and began walking away as the sky started cracking and the world began collapsing.

But before everything was destroyed, he said his name.

"Mo Wudao."

He stopped walking and said one final sentence:

"Today you destroy my world."

"One day… I will destroy your Heaven."

The End of the World

The sky shattered like glass.

The oceans rose into the air.

Mountains turned into dust.

Cities disappeared in light.

In the last moment before his body turned into nothing, Mo Wudao did not feel fear.

He only felt excitement.

And his final thought was:

"If Evil is necessary for the universe…"

"Then I will become the source of all Evil."

Darkness swallowed everything.

The world was gone.

But in the endless void… something opened its eyes.

And a voice echoed in the darkness:

"Since Heaven created the rules…"

"I will write new ones."
