Kyle opened his eyes.
He is welcomed by a familiar ceiling. Familiar cracks in the beams. The same ones he had stared at every night for weeks.
He was in his room.
He turned his head slowly. Leo was asleep on a chair beside the bed, head resting on his arms, facing Kyle.
His golden hair was messy. But his face was calm.
Kyle exhaled.
`It looks like my worst assumption didn't come true.`
He had expected the worst, which was that the mansion would be completely surrounded by the Zodiac. But seeing how calm the place was, and Leo's condition, he automatically assumed that the situation was safe.
He pushed himself up. His body screamed—not in pain, his skill was still active, dulling everything—but he felt the stiffness, the weakness.
Bandages wrapped around his chest, his shoulder, his arm. Someone had treated him while he was out.
He sat on the edge of the bed and looked at his hands.
